Caroline showed no mercy.
The memory of her terrifying ordeal only made her strikes more vicious.

“You’re insane! Let me go, Caroline! I won’t let this slide! I’ll make you pay for this!” Elizabeth screamed at the top of her lungs. “My hair–let go! Stop it!”
Caroline stood outside the car, free to move and attack with ease.
Elizabeth, confined to the driver’s seat, could barely fight back.
When women fought, the battle often came down to one word–scratching.
Elizabeth’s face, neck, and arms were now covered in scratches.
Some were shallow, just grazing her skin, but others were deep enough to draw blood.
Still, it was nothing compared to what Caroline had endured during her kidnapping.
“Help! Caroline, how could you treat me like this? You’ll regret this, I swear!” Elizabeth cried out in a mix of rage and panic.
“The grudge between us has already been set. It’s you or me!” Caroline shot back, her frustration pouring out. Elizabeth had dared to show up now? Perfect.
“Ahhh! Stop! I’ll tell Mr. Ellison–he’ll make sure you’re punished for this!” Elizabeth waved her arms frantically, accidentally hitting the door handle and tumbling out near the car’s wheel.
Caroline wasted no time and delivered a swift kick.
“You… vicious woman!” Elizabeth glared up at her, seething. “Fine! I’ll go to Mr. Ellison and report you right now!”
“Go ahead! If you don’t, you’re a coward!” Caroline shot back. “You think you’re the only one who can twist the truth? I’ll dig up evidence of your role in my kidnapping, mark my words!”
No secret stays hidden forever.
“Ha! Go ahead, try. Let’s see what you come up with,” Elizabeth taunted, her confidence unshaken. “Mr. Ellison will always take my side. He won’t stand up for you!”
Caroline smirked. “He already promised me that if I provide proof, he’ll handle it.”
Elizabeth’s emurnace faltered for a moment hut che quickly rahounded. “Than find

She wasn’t worried. Samantha had already handled everything–the kidnappers were gone, and any evidence had been erased.
No matter how determined Caroline was, she wouldn’t be able to trace anything back to her.
Elizabeth’s confidence only confirmed for Caroline how difficult this would be.
Still, no matter the odds, she wouldn’t give up.
“Just wait and see,” Caroline said, brushing off her hands. “Running into trash like you on the way home really ruined my night.”
She slung her bag over her shoulder and turned, walking towards the Ellison residence with steady determination.
But as she turned, she spotted David standing under the streetlamp, tall and composed.
When had he gotten there? How much had he seen? And why hadn’t he intervened?
“Mr. Ellison!” Elizabeth cried, running towards him. “Look at what she’s done to me! She’s out of control–just look at these scratches!”
Caroline didn’t hesitate. “Yes, I hit you. What are you going to do about it?”
With a scoff, she walked off confidently, leaving both David and Elizabeth behind without a backward glance.
“Just look at her arrogance,” Elizabeth kept whining. “Mr. Ellison, you need to step in. If this continues, today she’s bold enough to hit me, and tomorrow she might even dare to disrespect you!”
David watched Caroline’s retreating figure with a calm expression.
She was becoming increasingly bold.
But even so…
His lips curled slightly. “Didn’t you deserve it?”
