Caroline froze mid–motion, her hand suspended in the air.

Before Caroline could respond, David casually pushed back his blazer and pulled a black card from his inner pocket.
“Here, take it.”
He casually tossed it onto her. The sleek black card landed on her leg, its card number embossed in gold lettering.
“It’s a supplementary card, password’s my birthday,” David said as he started the car, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. “No spending limit. How much you actually get to use depends entirely on how much I allow.”

“You’re saying my money isn’t clean?”
“At least, the way you’re giving it to me is money I don’t want.”

David let out a cold laugh. “Ungrateful.”
That black card had never been handed to anyone before until today!

“Then consider me ungrateful,” Caroline replied calmly “I’ll only take what I deserve.”

Caroline gasped. “What are you doing?”
“Once I give something away, I never take it back.”
Since she don’t want it, then throw it away!

The atmosphere in the car grew tense, they didn’t spoke, and David’s face darkened like a storm cloud.
Minutes ago, they had been lost in a passionate kiss. Now, they felt like strangers.
