Before David could even glance at her, she had already stood up and left.
She moved like a flamboyant butterfly, gracefully dancing through the room, holding her wine glass, drifting from one man to another, but never returning to David’s side.
“Mr. Aaron, come on, this one’s for you. You have to finish it!”
“Hey, Mr. Simon, I heard you don’t drink beer, only white liquor.”
“What’s the alcohol content? You choose, I’ll drink along.”
Caroline’s laughter filled the room.
She raised her voice, her tone sweet and delicate, bending forward, the view in front of her becoming so apparent that several men couldn’t help but stare, unable to tear their eyes away.
At first, everyone pretended to be dignified, but after a few drinks, their courage grew.
Once the alcohol took effect, their true natures started to show.
Caroline held the wine bottle in one hand and the glass in the other, already halfway through a bottle of liquor.
“You have quite a tolerance, you can really drink.”
She covered her mouth with a smile. “I haven’t finished a bottle yet, keep it coming.”
In reality, Caroline’s bottle was filled with plain water!
She could never drink the liquor. Even if she were able to handle it, she was pregnant and couldn’t bear such strong alcohol.
“Come here, have a drink with me.” Aaron, already a bit tipsy with his beer belly sticking out, waved her over. “We should drink this one together.”
Laughter erupted.
Caroline responded, “Sure, no problem, Mr. Aaron.”
She threw caution to the wind.
Isn’t this exactly what David wants to see? Fine, I’ll let him watch to his heart’s content!
She had only filled herself with water and let these gre y old men take a few liberties with her,
She refused to belleve David would actually allow these men to get physical with her!
So, Caroline smiled joyously, in high spirits, like a soci butterfly

“Yes, and you have to finish it, not a drop left.”
“Wait, let me take a video.”
Someone, remembering David, asked, “Mr. Ellison, is this okay? Will you mind?”
After all, this was the woman David brought. They still needed to ask his opinion.
Before David could answer, Caroline giggled, “Mr. Ellison wouldn’t mind. He’s very generous. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have sent me to toast everyone. Hurry up and fill the glass, don’t try to delay!”
As they were pouring, Caroline added, “Mr. Ellison is so generous. Don’t just look at me. He would even let Mrs. Ellison out to socialize. As long as everyone is happy, right?”
A flush rose on her cheeks.
Everyone thought she was just drunk, but in truth, the heat in the room was getting to her.
It was noisy, crowded, and hot, and she had been constantly walking around, moving from one place to another.
David leaned back in his chair, squinting as he watched Caroline.
One of the straps of her dress had slipped off her shoulder, hanging loosely on her arm, giving her a slightly seductive look.
He couldnt help but remember how she had been when she first put on this dress, cautiously covering her chest, too afraid to take big steps, timid and proper.
Now, Caroline was completely letting go!
