Even if Caroline inwardly agreed with Julia’s words, she had to deny them on the surface.
The doctor was watching.
She couldn’t let him perform the abortion.
“David will be here soon. Stop spouting nonsense,” Caroline said, locking eyes with Julia. “Let me go, and I’ll pretend I never saw you or came here.”

The bodyguards shoved Caroline toward the operating room while the doctor turned to the nurse, giving instructions.
It was clear that they wanted to get this procedure done as soon as possible. The faster it was over, the less( trouble they would face.
“Let go of me! Let go…” Caroline struggled desperately, but it was useless.
Before she even stepped inside, the overpowering scent of alcohol and disinfectant filled her nose, poorly masking a faint trace of blood in the air.
And that operating table couldn’t even be called a hospital bed.
There wasn’t even a disposable sheet, just an old, floral–patterned cotton one.
It was filthy and utterly disgusting.
“Julia!” Caroline twisted her head to glare at her. “You don’t care about David because you know he won’t do anything to you, fine. But have you thought about Nash?”
“What about Nash?”
“If he finds out you killed his child with your own hands, how do you think he’ll react?”
Julia burst into laughter. “And what exactly can Nash do to me? The moment he saw me, he forgot you existed and proposed without hesitation. In his heart, do you really think you matter more than I do?”
Caroline shouted, “But I’m carrying his flesh and blood He will hate you for this!”
“Then let him hate me,” Julia sneered, her delicate face wisting into something cruel. “I’m doing this for his own good.
