Chapter 25
Thinking about that, Leo nodded, “Ok, please prepare.”
Barbara got off the bed, took a jacket and said, “Wait a moment, I’ll be ready very soon.”
Leo also came to the kitchen, “Do you need my help?”
Barbara turned around and glanced at him, “Are you very hungry?”
He nodded. “I’m a little hungry.”
Barbara handed the side dishes she had prepared to him, “Then, you will be in charge of washing the
vegetables.”
Leo approved in admiration, “Okay.”
While he was washing up, Barbara glanced at him. He was washing up very seriously.
They worked together, and soon, a bowl of delicious, fragrant, mixed vegetable noodles were ready to be
cooked.
Barbara placed the bowl in front of him and looked at Leo eagerly, “I am especially good at this dish, how do you think about my cooking?”
Compared to the cooks beside Leo, Barbara’s cooking skills were mediocre, but Leo was not disdainful of them, he nodded, “It is not bad.”
Receiving Leo’s praise, Barbara smiled happily, turned around, and returned to the kitchen. She was busy for a while.
Leo finished his meal and walked in, “What are you busy with?”
Barbara turned around and smiled at him, “Didn’t you say that you would fly to California early in the morning? I made some pastries and seaweed rice last night. “I’ll heat it up and put it in the lunch box. Take it. If you’re hungry, eat it on the way.”
Barbara knew that Leo was working hard to be a good husband, and she also wanted to be a good wife. However, she didn’t know how to be a good wife.
She wanted to give him something. However, he had everything. He still had what she didn’t expect.
Therefore, Barbara try to do something insignificant and be a considerate and virtuous wife.

She looked serious, then Leo rubbed his head, “Thank you for thinking so carefully about me.”
“It’s what you said about couples having to take care of each other.” Barbara slapped his hand away, and pouted, “Don’t keep rubbing my head.”
He rubbed her head the same way she rubbed her pet.
Leo smiled slightly as he hugged her. “What about this?”
Barbara immediately blushed, she anxiously tried to push him away, but she was held even tighter by
him.
Barbara pursed her lips and ruthlessly pinched his waist, but he was too strong, she didn’t do anything to him, but instead hurt herself.
Barbara was furious, she looked up and rammed into his chest, wanting to make him suffer, but he reached out to caress her head again, and said, “Be good, stop messing around.”
Uh…
Barbara was confused, was she messing around? Was she making trouble? She was the one who was
bullied!
She reached out to pinch him again, but this time he grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently in his palm. “I’m ready to go. You have to take care of yourself at home alone. ”
“Wait a moment.” Barbara escaped from his embrace, placed the steamed pastries and purple vegetable pancakes into a thermal lunch box, then took out a bag and put it away, “Eat on the road.”
When Leo reached out and took the bag, he said gently, “Wait for me at home.”
Barbara nodded with a blush, “Mm.”
Leo rubbed her head again, “I gotta go.”
Barbara sent him out the door, then stood at the door as she watched him enter the elevator.
Once the elevator door was closed, Barbara hurriedly shook her head. She rubbed her forehead and muttered to herself, “I don’t have a fever, so that means that what happened just now was real and
wasn’t a dream.”
If she wasn’t sick, then it was highly likely that Leo was sick. It was probably because he was sick that he said something he normally wouldn’t say, and did something he normally wouldn’t do.
After sending Leo off, Barbara also didn’t want to sleep, so she decided to just get up and run in the morning, and then rush back to the company.

Barbara was busy for more than half an hour before Emily finally arrived at the office.
She didn’t return to her own office as she moved closer to Barbara and mysteriously asked, “Barbara, do you know that Sally of public relations department has been fired?”
Barbara was stunned once, and didn’t look well.
Emily did not notice and continued, “I heard from someone that she seemed to do something to Chairman Leo, and she was fired by him.”
Barbara guessed that Leo must have let others release the news on purpose, as he did not want to involve her in this matter.
When Leo said that her backer was the CEO, he showed her with his practical action. Barbara was very touched.
However, she could not be happy.
It wasn’t that Barbara didn’t want her to leave the company, it was that she didn’t want her to leave due to her relationship with Leo.
She did not want to make her relationship with Leo public, because she did not want to receive special treatment in the company.
And now, things were going the way that she did not want.
Emily continued to speak, “People like Sally really deserve it. Who knows how many people in the company were hoping that she leave. This time, Chairman Leo has helped us to get rid of her.”
Barbara laughed, “Emily, I am not concerned with Sally’s going or staying, I am only concerned with the business plan that is going to be submitting tomorrow.”
Barbara did not like to talk behind people’s backs, and she knew that the workplace was not as simple as it looked. There were pits everywhere, and it was unknown who might have stepped into them.
Talking too much would definitely lead to mistakes, Barbara understood this principle very
In the past three years, she got along well with her colleagues, but it was only on the surface.
Amy hurried over, “Barbara, how are you preparing the first draft of your business plan?”
Barbara said, “I’ll work harder, I’ll definitely finish tomorrow.”
well.
Amy said, “I don’t have that much time. Mr. Robert of the Grand will be rushing to the capital tonight. If he does not see your proposal before he leave, then there will be no chance for this project.

Barbara pursed her lips and said, “Manager, I will do my best to deliver this business plan to him before we get off work.”
Amy looked at the time, “If there’s anything you need help with, call Emily and Jack to help you, Mr. Robert’s flight is at 9 PM and we have to head to the airport from the company before 7 PM. You should rush to the airport before this time to hand the documents to him personally,”
Barbara nodded, “Okay.”
Three days was originally short, but it had shortened to a day and a half. This was equivalent to a strong pressure, but Barbara did not cower.
In her opinion, there was no impossible work, only your hard work.
Furthermore, this was Mr. Robert of the Grand who had assigned her to be responsible for this project, so she had no reason to reject.
