Chapter 307 Maybe You’ll Have Two in Three Years.
One love for a lifetime!
Finished
Since David had personally admitted his love for Caroline, there was no way he could truly fall for another
woman.
“Boris,” David said, “Caroline is carrying another man’s child, and she refuses to get rid of it!”
“I already gave you a suggestion. How’s the DNA test going? Any leads yet?”
“Not yet”
Boris wanted to ask more, but David downed his glass of red wine in one gulp and strode forward.
His eyes locked onto the dessert table.
Because–Elizabeth had already found Caroline.
“Caroline,” Elizabeth greeted sweetly, wearing the smug smile of a victor. “What a coincidence, running into you here.”
She had no idea that the only reason her so–called child was allowed to exist was because Caroline had permitted it.
She still naively believed that David genuinely wanted this baby.
But the truth was–Elizabeth wasn’t even pregnant. And she and Andrew were still desperately trying to make it real.
And even if she did manage to have David’s child…
avid wouldn’t care.
Caroline calmly ate her cake, taking small bites without even looking at Elizabeth.
“Drop the act. There’s no one else around. That fake sweetness of yours is exhausting just to watch.
“I have no idea what you mean,” Elizabeth said innocently. “I actually came to congratulate you. You’ve been doing well at Ellison Group. As your sister, I should celebrate with you.”
“Thanks. Consider your message received. You can leave now.”
But Elizabeth wasn’t going anywhere.

She gently touched her stomach. “I can’t drink since I’m pregnant. Otherwise, I would’ve raised a toast to you. Ah… I almost forgot, you’re pregnant too. And with twins, no less. I really envy you. If I had twins, imagine how happy Mr. Ellison would be.”
Caroline responded flatly, “Keep trying. Maybe you’ll have two in three years.”
Elizabeth’s smile faltered.
Caroline’s calm and unbothered demeanor was infuriating.

Thinking fast, Elizabeth picked up a glass of red wine. “Well, I’ll just take a small sip. Just for the occasion.”
“I don’t drink, and neither should you,” Caroline said. “Unless you want to turn this into another one of your stunts and blame me for something. Elizabeth, you keep playing the same games. Aren’t you bored yet?”
Elizabeth feigned innocence. “I only wanted to celebrate with you. Is that so wrong?”
“If you want to act coy and flirt, go do it with David. Watching you makes me sick.”
Caroline placed her tiramisu down.
She had been enjoying her dessert just fine. But Elizabeth had completely ruined her appetite.
She suddenly felt nauseated.
Elizabeth giggled behind her hand. “Oh, I spend every day with Mr. Ellison. A little time apart won’t hurt. Caroline, you probably haven’t seen Mr. Ellison in a long time, have you? If I hadn’t dragged him here today, you still wouldn’t have seen him. Mr. Ellison is so sweet and considerate to me. He visits me every day, keeps me company, and brings me everything I could ever want. The best food, the finest drinks- whatever I ask for, he gives me. He says a happy mother makes a healthy, intelligent baby. This is Mr. Ellison’s first child. The first of the next generation in the Ellison family. It’s destined to be adored and cherished by everyone.”
