Chapter38
Valerie deliberately retaliated against him for bringing in Terrence.
“Isn’t your relationship with the family bad? Why did you agree?”
Valerie turned her head slightly and gave a faint smile filled with sorrow,
She had never expected Terrence would have the slightest understanding of her.
When the bloody truth was presented before her, her heart couldn’t help but ache.
“None of your business!”
Terrence once again held Valerie’s hand.
“Valerie!”
Valerie looked at the red mark on her wrist and slowly lifted her head, meeting Terrence’s reddened eyes.
A gentle breeze brushed against her long eyelashes.
Her eyes were as clear as if they had been washed with water.“Terrence, you are already my ex–boyfriend. A good ex should never show up li he’s dead. Understand?”
After saying that, she shook off Terrence and took the initiative to push Ricky into the City Hall.
Ricky’s peripheral vision swept over the stunned Terrence.
Suddenly, he pitied Terrence.
The two arrived at the registration office.
Ricky said, “It seems you are serious this time.”
Valerie took out her ID card and said, “Mr. Murray, there’s no need to repeatedly question my intentions. Since I have already agreed to marry you, I won’t go back on my word.
*After marriage, I won’t keep in touch with my ex and cheat on you.
“Where is your ID card?”
Ricky held onto the armrest.
Actually, he didn’t want to marry Valerie.
Otherwise, Terrence would not be here.
But at that moment, Ricky had to do so.
He stared at the small and fair hand before him, still wanting to make one final struggle.
“Don’t you think Terrence was very pitiful?”
Ricky looked toward the man at the door, bathed in the morning sunlight, who seemed to have not yet recovered from the shock and still maintained a standing posture.
Valerie, however, did not look at Terrence but instead extended her small hand forward again.
‘ID card!
Ricky was speechless.
He felt frustrated.
Kicky squinted and said to the bodyguard behind him, “ID card.”
