Chapter40
She blew away the stray hairs on her cheeks, took a deep breath, and looked at the man she had loved for seven years. Terrence, do you think this is interesting?”
“That’s what I should ask you. Just because I didn’t go to get the marriage license with you, you were going to get one with another man? Valerie, you are becoming more and more daring,” Terrence said, grinding his teeth in frustration whenever he thought about it.
Valerie really wanted to register for marriage with Ricky!
This woman!
She was too bold!
Valerie closed her eyes for a while before finally opening them.
She didn’t want to argue with Terrence anymore.
It made no sense.
“You wanted to be with Margaret, and I have already made it happen for you. What else do you want?
Terrence frowned, “When did I ever say I wanted to be with Margaret? I’ve told you countless times that I treat her like a sister!*
Valerie pressed her temples and said, “Alright. Can you grant me this? I want to break up with you!*
“I disagree!”
Valerie felt like she was caught in an endless loop.
“If it’s because I broke up with you and made you lose face, then you propose it.”
“I said I disagree!” The veins on Terrence’s forehead were throbbing uncontrollably.
Valerie didn’t know what to say.
Half a second later.
“Stop the car!”
“Don’t stop!”
The assistant in the front seat remained silent.
Valerie saw the assistant had no intention of stopping the car, so she pursed her lips and fiercely crashed into the car window, taking advantage of Terrence’s lack of vigilance.
Bang!
Hiss!
Two sounds rang out simultaneously.
As Terrence saw the blood seeping from Valerie’s forehead, panic flashed in his eyes.
He held Valerie, who was falling backward.
“Go to the hospital!”
The assistant in the front seat was also startled.
Hastily changing direction, he rushed toward the hospital.
Valerie was really harsh on herself.
The wound penetrated directly into her dermis.
She needed stitches.
Seven stitches in total.
Terrence looked at Valerie who was sitting pale–faced on the hospital bed and thought of how she had silently let the doctor stitch her up.
