Jane’s Story 1
I fell for my father’s best friend, who was ten years older than me – basically a young uncle. My dad used to joke with him, saying,”You’re still single and always buying gifts for my daughter. You’re not trying to get with her, are you?” Little did he know that years later, that joke would turn into reality, and I found myself hopelessly infatuated with him.
When I was fifteen, my parents passed away, and on their deathbed, they entrusted him to look after me. Julian Parker took me to his family, showering me with affection like I was the most precious flower. Everyone in the city knew that the youngest heir of the Parker family was pampering a delicate rose, treating me like I was made of glass—too fragile to touch, too precious to let go.
He gave me the most intense love and indulgence, and I wanted to repay him with my devotion. On my eighteenth birthday, I gave him a box of ultra—thin condoms.
Julian looked down at me, his eyes dark.”I’m ten years older than you, sweetheart. I’m not a beast. Don’t give me things that aren’t appropriate.”
Then came that fateful day when he was drugged at a party, and I willingly became his antidote, offering my inexperienced body to him.
That night, he used up the entire box. It was a whirlwind of passion, almost spiraling out of control.
The next morning, his childhood sweetheart, Olivia Reed, walked in. She saw us entwined and was struck like lightning, running out in tears. She sped off in her car, but due to her reckless driving, she crashed into a cliff, blood everywhere.
Yet, Julian married me after Olivia’s funeral. I thought if I could warm his body, I could warm his heart. So when he expressed a desire for a love without constraints, I eagerly agreed. But he didn’t want kids. Over three years of our marriage, I got pregnant ten times, only to be forced into ten abortions.
After the eleventh miscarriage, I was bleeding heavily, lying on the operating table, begging him to save me. But he looked at me with a twisted satisfaction, sneering,”You should have died long ago. If you hadn’t seduced me while I was drugged, Olivia wouldn’t have been triggered into that accident.”
“You killed Olivia, Jane Smith. You’ll pay with eleven children and your life!”
In that moment, I realized he hated me. He despised my willingness to surrender, blaming me for the death of his beloved. He hadn’t married me out of love, but out of revenge.
Before I died, I finally understood that only mutual affection could lead to a happy ending. If I had a chance to do it all over again, I wouldn’t want any entanglement with him.
When I opened my eyes again, I found myself reborn, back to the night Julian was drugged…
The usually aloof and untouchable Julian Parker was now disheveled, lying on the bed. His tousled hair fell over his forehead, but it couldn’t hide the desire in his eyes. His lips parted slightly, his chest rising and falling with quick breaths.
Seeing the man stripped bare by lust, a storm of emotions raged within me.
In my past life, I was enchanted by this very Julian. He had a magnetic pull that ignited my desires. I knew he was my father’s friend and ten years older, yet I foolishly became his remedy.
Later, I learned that Julian and Olivia had already been in love, I just happened to swoop in first.
Thankfully, fate granted me a second chance. In this life, I only want to support Julian and Olivia, to make amends for my past mistakes.
Without hesitation, I grabbed my phone and called Olivia.
Ten minutes later, she rushed over. I held her hand tightly, saying,”I know you both have feelings for each other, but you’ve never been straightforward about it. Now that he’s drugged, it’s the perfect time for you to express your feelings.”
When she received my call, she was skeptical, and hearing me say this made her even more incredulous.
“Jane, what’s going on? You love Julian, don’t you? Why would you help us?”
I couldn’t help but chuckle at that. Everyone in the city knew I was hopelessly in love with Julian. No matter how coldly he treated me, I followed him without regret.
I used to think that if I just held on long enough, I could bridge the gap of age and status to win his heart.
Now, having lived again, I understood that he didn’t love me. Even if I gave him everything, he wouldn’t spare me a glance.
In my past life, I was utterly wrong. This time, I would correct my mistakes.
“I don’t love him anymore,” I whispered, shaking my head.”Not ever again.”
As soon as I said that, a muffled groan came from the room.”He can’t hold on much longer; if you don’t go in now, it’ll be too late.”
My expression was genuine, but Olivia still doubted, suspecting some trap.
Eventually, she seemed convinced. She gritted her teeth.”Then what are you waiting for? Are you going to stay here and listen to our love—making?”
I trembled slightly, then stepped aside to let her in. The moment Olivia’s hand touched Julian’s face, I closed the door firmly.
The next second, Julian’s satisfied groans and her soft moans echoed through the thick door. The sounds of their passionate encounter sliced through my heart like a sharp knife, leaving me shattered. I felt utterly drained, sliding down to the floor.
Hot tears streamed down my cheeks, but strangely, I felt a sense of relief.
My mistakes, my obsessions, were finally over. I was finally free from the fate of my past life.
I hastily wiped my tears and ran back to my room. That night, the two in the guest room indulged in each other, while I lay awake, unable to sleep.
At dawn, I called my aunt, Clara.
“Aunt, I’ve made up my mind. I’m willing to leave the Parker family and live abroad with you.” A few years ago, after my parents passed, Clara had taken over the family business and expanded into international markets. She’d repeatedly invited me to join her, but my love for Julian had always kept me here. Now, with Julian and Olivia finally together, it was time for me to leave and live my own life.
Surprised by my sudden agreement, Clara’s voice was filled with joy as she eagerly advised me.”Jane, you’ve finally come to your senses! I always told you that you and Julian were never going to work out. I’ve found someone for you, he’s your age. When you get to Europe, you two can spend time together.”
Her words made my already swollen eyes fill with tears again. In my past life, Clara had advised me the same way, but I stubbornly ignored her and ended up losing my life.
“Aunt, I’ll do as you say. I’ll start the immigration process right away.”
