Chapter 7
Elliott’s grandfather, could no longer contain his fury that he had held back until now completely exploded.
Pointing a trembling finger at Elliott, he roared:
“That little mistress of yours hit Daniella with a car, causing her to go into premature labor. The child
missed the best window for rescue and suffocated inside her!”
“Her mother, too, passed away by the shock, died on the spot!”
“Elliott Stone, all of this–every last bit of it–is your sin!”
Elliott stood frozen in disbelief. He scanned the room and sneered.
He grabbed the divorce agreement and tore it to shreds.
“Grandpa, you’re too old for this, stop acting with Daniella.”
“I don’t believe she’d divorce me. How could she possibly leave the wealth and power of the Stone
family?”
Elliott kicked over one of the flower wreaths.
“Why put these things in the house? Isn’t it bad luck? You’re just angry that I’ve been out and didn’t come home to see the child, aren’t you?”
“I’m back now. Where’s the baby? Bring him over so I can see him. Has he been named yet? Does he look like me or like Daniella?”
Elliott hummed a tune, scanning the room.
But all the servants at the Stone family kept their heads down, faces heavy with sorrow.
No one acknowledged his words.
Seeing this, Elliott felt a flicker of unease.
He began searching around the villa.
After failing to find anything, his tone became a little less certain.
“Where did you hide my child?”

“Grandpa, Ikowow I went a little too far last time, I shouldn’t have laid my hands on Daniella.”
“But now the child is born. Do you really think she’d divorce me? Tell me where she is. I will go apologize, coax her a line and it’ll all be fine!
Elliott didn’t care about Daniella’s anger or grievances. He knew she couldn’t leave him.
No matter how terrible his actions were, for the sake of her mother, Daniella would swallow all her pain.
And now, they had a child. Another tie binding her to him,
Divorce? Leaving? Impossible,
Elliott’s grandfather grabbed his cane and struck Elliott across the back with it.
“You ungrateful bastard! How did our Stone Family raise such a sinner like you!”
Elliott shrugged, unbothered.
He casually crossed his legs and sat back on the couch.
“Are you all just acting because of that trending news?”
“Grandpa, all those women are just passing flings. Daniella is the only woman who truly matters to me. I never intended for anyone to replace her.”
“If you don’t believe me, I’ll prove it to you right now.”
With that, Elliott called Joanna,
“Do you still like the wedding dress? I’ve already bought it for you. You’re no longer a young girl. Marry a decent man. Don’t show up in front of me again.”
Before she could respond, Elliott hung up and blocked her without hesitation.
He shrugged and looked at his grandfather with a smile.
“Now, are you satisfied?”
“Alright, ask Daniella to take the child home. I will even promise her that I would stay home on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with her and go out with her on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays…”
Elliott’s grandfather trembled with fury at his grandson’s arrogance.
He was determined to teach this useless grandson a lesson.

But just as he raised his cane, he suddenly felt dizzy.
The constant strain and stress had finally taken its toll on the elderly man.
He clutched his chest and collapsed, falling to the ground.
