Ethan’s intentions were clear. He’d had his eye on that car for a while, but it was just too pricey.
Henry crossed his arms and grinned, “Why should I bet on Benjamin”
“Henry!” Benjamin couldn’t believe his friend was betraying him.
Benjamin thought, Even though friends often bail in front of lovers, he can’t be that doubtful of my chances, can be?”
Ethan was determined to trick Henry, “Anyway, I’m betting on Zoey.”
Henry rubbed his forehead and looked at Zoey, “Why are you also… Messing around with Benjamin was left unsaid.
“He wanted to bet.” Zoey shrugged, playing it cool. She was just going with the flow.
So the bet was on, and Henry found it ridiculous. Why should he bet on Behjamin instead of his own fiancée? But there was no reasoning with Ethan, who was a master at being unreasonable.

“Count me in.” An elderly but strong voice chimed in. Jesse walked in with a smile and slapped–down a card.

Ethan know it wasn’t just five hundred dollars, but five hundred thousand! His eyes sparkled with excitement. He was still in school and had limited pocket money, so seeing such a large sum was really tempting

Jesse smiled kindly, “Do you think I’m stupid?”
Benjamin protested, “Jesse, trust me, bet on me, I will definitely win
Jesse glanced at him, then turned to pat Zoey on the shoulder, “Zoey don’t feel pressured. This money is nothing, winning or losing
doesn’t matter.”
Benjamin fell silent, and Zoey smiled, “Don’t worry, I never lose.”
Arrogant! Benjamin snorted, “We’ll see!”
Henry watched this scene thoughtfully and suddenly took out his keys, tossing them to Ethan. “They’re yours.”
Benjamin almost jumped, this was a sign of distrust! Before Ethan could even warm up the keys, they were snatched back by Benjamin. “It’s not over until it’s over!”
Henry gave him a sympathetic look. Although he didn’t know what ve Zoey such confidence, both Maya and Jesse believed in her. He thought Benjamin’s chances of winning were slim.
The bet was set, and Maya took Zoey out shopping, buying all sorts of things. Maya was lavish, buying whatever she liked. Price was not a concem at all.
Zoey followed beside her, looking calm, only stopping her when she picked out some bizarrely colored clothes.
After shopping, they went to a café. Once inside, Maya couldn’t help but ask, “Zoey,

Although she hadn’t known Zoey for long. Maya had a trust in her that she didn’t have in anyone else.

Before Zoey could answer, Luna started talking to herself. “I know, you tried everything to get into Dr. K’s conference just to m her. Unfortunately, your self–recommendation was useless. Dr. K only appreciates people with real talent.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a middle–aged woman walked in. Brian turned and said excitedly, “Aunt Robyn, you’re here.”
The woman, Robyn Scott, nodded and looked at Luna, “Is this her?”
Brian said, “Yes, Luna is excellent. She has good grades and admires Dr. K. She hopes to contribute to Novariar by joining the institute,”
“She can get in, I’ll arrange it,” Robyn spoke lightly.
