Alice looked ties I chose for you were the best. Whenever you

Ethan looked uneasy. “So?” Was Alice trying a sentimental approach? If she behaved, he might forgive her.
Alice yanked off his tie. “I bought this one, right?” She tossed it in the trash. Ethan exploded. “What are you doing?”
Alice slapped him. He froze.
“We’re even now. I’m not holling a grudge about you giving my belongings and room to Chloe.” Her tone was chilling. “As for the tie, I’ll buy you a new one. This one’s old.” Before Ethan could react, she continued, “Since we’ve cleared things up, let’s go. We don’t want people thinking the Windhams are feuding.” She linked arms with him. Let’s go.”
Chloe panicked. “Big Brother!”
Ethan glanced at Chloe, a little guilty.“I know what you’re thinking, but Alice’s family. Making a big scene isn’t good for the family.” Alice’s temper was a double–edged sword, reconciliation was better. If she could unite three brothers to overthrow the entertainment company today, she might interfere with the Windhams‘ main business tomorrow.
Chloe was terrified. Why did Ethan so easily forgive Alice? If Alice returned, what would become of her?
“Big Brother, they teamed up to oust you from the company!”
Alice smiled. “Just kidding. It’s Fourth Brother’s company; I’m here to back him up.”
Chloe seethed; Alice was lying. She linked arms with Ethan, determined not to let Alice take him.
Alice smirked.“I don’t mind. I’ve had time to reflect.”
Ethan nodded. “It’s good you’ve come. to your senses. Remember, you’re family.”
Alice’s smile was sarcastic. She hadn’t forgotten. She returned to investigate the car accident, to
her parents by exposing Chloe’s father.

Caleb looked at Noah.“Second Brother, is Alice’s sudden change of heart suspicious?” Her attitude was strange.
Noah replied calmly, “Whatever her reason, it’s enough that she’s willing to return.” Caleb looked at Luke Luke. “Alice agreed not to press charges. Always support her, don’t let Chloe manipulate you.”
Luke Luke nodded. Chloe had been distant and cold lately, revealing her true colors once she saw his usefulness was gone. He realized he’d been manipulated into harming Alice. Outside, the gala guests were shocked to see Alice and Ethan arm in arm, having witnessed their earlier argument.

Alice said, “Me, of course. Right, Big Brother?
Ethan knew Alice’s temper. If he favored Chloe again, she might cause more trouble. He nodded. “Yes. I’ve confirmed it. Alice wrote the script independently. I was wrong,” Chloe’s eyes welled up with anger. Ethan hadn’t defended her. She was a laughingstock. Alice looked at Chloe. “I know you want success, but clinging to others won’t help. It will hurt you. I’m doing this for your own good. Don’t blame me.” The words were dripping with sarcasm. Chloe’s face was grim.“I’ll go to the restroom.”
Alice watched her leave, releasing Ethan’s arm. She’d done it to provoke Chloe; Ethan was Chloe’s only ally in the family. Alice’s subsequent behavior was impeccable, saving Ethan face, lessening his prejudice against her.
Ethan said softly, “Isn’t this better? Reconcile with Chloe and live peacefully.” Alice’s smile was cold. Sure, but you have to be fair. Return my things, then I’ll do as you say.” “Fine. I’ll keep your parents‘ belongings safe. I’ll give them to you later. How else will I know you’re sincere about returning?” Ethan was still wary, suspecting she was after the inheritance. Giving her everything now was risky.
Alice said calmly, “Okay, but Chloe gets nothing, including the charity foundation.” “Fine.” Ethan agreed. He’d compensate Chloe later.
Alice glanced at her champagne glass; Chloe would be furious. This was only the beginning. Ethan, arrogant and self–assured, valued the big picture. He’d wronged her; now it was Chloe’s turn. Karma was a bitch. She wanted to see how long Chloe could endure. She was also curious to see Ethan’s reaction when he discovered Chloe’s father was alive and involved in the accident.
The gala ended, and Chloe emerged from the restroom, her face a mask of fury.
Noah said to Alice, “Come home for dinner this weekend. Our first meal as a reconciled family.”
“Okay, but my room must be ready.”
Seeing Chloe’s anger and helplessness, Alice added, “Oh, and Chloe, the charity foundation is mine. I was gone, but now I’m back, so it’s mine.”
Chloe was livid.“Big Brother, didn’t you say it was mine?”
Ethan coughed. I was trying to provoke Alice. Don’t worry, I’ll compensate you.” “But I worked hard on the charity auction. The invitations have been sent. If I withdraw now, what happens? Chloe hadn’t expected Ethan to so easily backtrack.
Alice’s eyes lit up when she heard “auction.” “You’ve clearly put in a lot of effort. Continue with the auction. Chloe would manipulate the funds.
Ethan was surprised.“You agree?” He’d expected her to object.
Alice looked at Chloe.“Don’t mess It up. Work hard, and I’ll pay you.” Chloe was furious. Alice was treating her like an employee! The money was hers! Alice’s return had disrupted her plans. She needed to contact her father and get rid of Alice.
