“Well, well, I was wondering who was bothering the young lady,” a lazy, sultry voice drawled from behind. Turns out it’s Mr. Blake. Long time no see. Hope you’re doing well The tone was casual, almost as if he were greeting an old acquaintance. completely unfazed by the situation at hand.
“Mr… Mr. Gibbs…” Solomon muttered with a strained smile, his face pale and veins bulging from his forehead. “Please, let go of me. Let’s talk this through…
“Let go? Ivan raised an eyebrow, tightening his grip on Solomon’s hand. “If I let you go, will you let go of the lady?”
Solomon immediately nodded, his forehead drenched in cold sweat. ‘Of course, of course. This is your territory–I’ll listen to you.”
Only then did Ivan release his hold, taking a handkerchief from his pocket and meticulously wiping his hands. He tossed it aside and then addressed the security at the door. “Escort Mr. Blake out
Solomon, eager to avoid further trouble, hurriedly spoke, “I’ll go on my own, I’ll go. Mr. Gibbs, please, just let me off the hook this time.”
Ivan tilted his head slightly, raising an eyebrow, silently urging, “Aren’t you going to get out of here?”
Though Solomon was seething with frustration, he knew he couldn’t afford to cross someone with such powerful connections. He had no choice but to leave, his pride completely shattered.
Once the nuisance was gone, Ivan turned his attention to Hailey and Casey, a smirk playing on his lips. He raised an eyebrow and said, “Miss Dalton, sneaking off to a bar without your boyfriend? Not a good look, is it?”
Hailey knew that Ivan and Owen were close friends. She thought, ‘I never expected it would happen like this… especially not with Ivan catching me in the act.
“You didn’t tell Owen, did you?” she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
Just as the words left her mouth, the door opened, and a man walked in. He was tall and lean, dressed simply in a white shirt and suit trousers. His cold, aloof demeanor exuded a quiet, aristocratic confidence.
Hailey froze, her breath catching in her throat. She wondered, ‘Speak of the devil… I don’t know if he overheard me, but if he did, this is going to be so awkward. It’s like I just made it worse by trying to cover it up.‘
Owen walked in, his gaze briefly meeting Hailey’s before shifting to Ivan. “Thanks,” he said, his voice calm and measured.
Ivan raised an eyebrow. “No problem. Do you need a private room to talk?”
Hailey was left speechless.
“No need, just the VIP room I will do,” Owen said, walking over to Hailey’s side and taking her hand.
Hailey, feeling oddly guilty, kept quiet and obediently followed him. She thought, ‘But what about Casey? After all, I’m the one who brought her here.
Before Hailey could say anything, Ivan spoke up. “Miss Medrano, how about I show you around?”
The Gibbs and Medrano families were both prominent, so they were certainly acquainted, though Casey and Ivan werent personally familiar with each other.
Casey had planned to leave first, but when Ivan spoke, she felt she couldn’t refuse. She nodded reluctantly.
“Then, Ivan, I’ll leave Casey in your care,” Hailey said, glancing at Ivan.

Casey was still a young girl, so Ivan, understanding her comfort level, didn’t take her into the bar Instead, he led her so the coffee house to enjoy some live music.
Casey had never been to a place like this before. It felt new and exciting, but she was also afraid of being judged. She thed to hold back her curiosity, though her wide eyes couldn’t help but wander around, taking in every dent
Seeing the way her curious, wide eyes sparkled, Ivan couldn’t help but find it endearing She reminded him a line of the orange cat he had at home.
Slowing his pace, he lazily called out, “Never been here before, huh?”
Casey thought she had hidden her curiosity well, but Ivan saw right through her. Her face flushed, and she nodded dighty
“I’ve never been here before.”
Ivan flashed a charming smile, his expression effortlessly captivating. “Come on, let me show you around he said, he said with a playful grin.
Casey opened her mouth to respond, but the words didn’t come. She hesitated, unsure how to reply. So, she fell silent instead.
Meanwhile, in the private room, Hailey was held tightly in Owen’s arms, gasping for breath after a deep kiss. Her face was as red as a peach, and Owen’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he fought to control his emotions.
He raised a hand, gently cupping her flushed cheek, his voice low and threatening but with a hint of tenderness. “If I catch you at a bar again, I’ll tie you up and toss you on the bed.”
Hailey, still breathless and disoriented, blinked, her mind struggling to catch up. “Toss me on the bed?*
Owen leaned in close, a wicked grin playing on his lips. “Yes.”
It took a moment for Hailey to process, her eyes lighting up with a playful spark. She narrowed her eyes at Owen and said with a teasing glare, “I’m going to find Casey and go home.”
Owen immediately wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer. “It’s still early,” he said, refusing to let her go. “We finally have some time alone. Casey’s with Ivan; she’ll be fine.”
Hailey couldn’t help but laugh, her eyes crinkling with amusement. “We saw each other just a few hours ago,” she said, her voice light and sweet.
Hailey thought, ‘Owen, whenever he’s not traveling, always makes time to visit me every day during lunch at Everton High School. I find it a bit of a hassle, but despite his busy schedule running the world, it’s something he never seems to tire of
“It’s been several hours already,” Owen said, still not letting go.
Their relationship seemed different from anything else, something uniquely their own.
Owen was the one who liked to act spoiled.
Hailey rarely indulged in such behavior herself.

Of course, it was only when he acted like that he would put aside his usual commanding aura.
In their everyday interactions, Hailey could feel the strong, domineering energy that he carried–he was the President of a big company, after all–and in his relationships, that control and possessiveness were evident.
But Hailey hadn’t fully experienced that side of him yet.
“Then let’s stay a little longer, but only for a short while,” Hailey said with a resigned sigh, giving in to him.
Owen smiled, his long fingers sliding around her waist, gently pushing her back onto the couch. Her body felt soft against him.
He lowered his head to kiss her lips, playfully pressing gentle kisses one after the other, occasionally teasing her ear with a soft pinch.
Hailey felt her face flush and her heart race as he teased her. “Stop it,” she muttered, embarrassed.
He sighed dramatically. “When can we finally lie in bed together without all the sneaking around?”
