Chapter 11
Around 8 p.m., with a statement from Katelyn on her social account, the online sentiment took turns again.
Katelyn’s statement was nearly a thousand words long, but it really only had two meanings: one, she and Harley were just good friends, and during Harley and Lenora’s marriage, she didn’t do anything to ruin their relationship; two, today was her art exhibition, and she couldn’t understand why Lenora, who had already divorced Harley, would appear at her exhibition.
Smart people could tell that this statement was very shady. Katelyn’s seemingly objective clarification was actually quite sly. In the second point, she even subtly mocked that Lenora couldnt move on after divorcing and even brought people to show off at her ex’s friend’s art exhibition.
Cassidy, who had been in the entertainment industry for many years, found the statement so distressing that she immediately released the major move Lenora had prepared for her.
In just half an hour, public opinion had completely turned against Katelyn.
When Matthew learned about this matter from his assistant, he was freaking out and quickly had someone organize the details before knocking on Harley’s office door.
“What’s the matter?” Harley didn’t even raise his head, engrossed in his paperwork.
“Mr. Brandt, there are some rumors about you and Miss Sheppard online. Do you need to clarify?”
“What rumors?” Harley frowned, clearly annoyed.
Matthew couldn’t be sure whether it was rumors or truth, and he didn’t dare to tell Harley that intimate photos of Katelyn with him had been posted online.
He directly placed the tablet in front of Harley. “Miss Sheppard’s art exhibition was live–streamed this morning, and coincidentally, Ms. Maynard also attended. That’s why there’s been some negative public opinion online…”
Harley wasn’t interested in the online gossip, but the photos on the tablet caught his attention at first glance.
In the photos, he was wearing a robe, just coming out of the bathroom, and Katelyn took a selfie with her phone in front. Although there was no substantial contact, the photos were ambiguous.
That day, he was on a business trip out of town and happened to meet Katelyn at a dinner party. Katelyn had drunk quite a bit. Out of consideration for her family, he had Matthew take her back to her room. But just as she was about to leave, she threw up, and some of it got on him. He got angry right then and there and had Matthew quickly get returned to his room to clean up.

When he finished showering, Katelyn appeared in his room in arobe, saying she came to apologize, but he impatiently sent her
away.
“Where did these photos come from?” Harley swiped the tablet, and after seeing those comments, his face became as cold as the Himalayas.
Matthew suddenly felt a chill go down his spine. “We haven’t found out yet.”
“Why are there suddenly so many articles talking about me?”
In fact, it wasn’t just talking about him but downright insulting.
“We found out that these media platforms all received press releases from Ormonde Entertainment.” Matthew wiped the thin sweat on his forehead.
Harley suddenly slammed the tablet on the desk, causing a loud bang. His deep eyes were chillingly terrifying. “Contact the

person in charge at Ormonde Entertainment and have them withdraw those articles immediately!”
“Will do, Mr. Brandt. I will contact them right away!”

Matthew hurriedly went out to find the number of Ormonde Entertainment’s person in charge. He didn’t know what Harley had seen earlier, but Harley’s expression just now was as if he wanted to devour someone. It was terrifying to even think about it.
In the office, Harley’s face was icy, and suddenly, as if he had thought of something, he reached out and dialed Matthew’s extension. “No need to contact them!”
With a crisp click, Harley–ended the call. He stood up, holding his phone, and walked to the floor–to–ceiling window to dial the number of his ex–wife, a number he hadn’t called once in the past three years.
Lenora had memorized Harley’s number. Even without a contact name, she knew it was Harley calling.
Her phone was ringing joyfully on the table, but she just watched it without any intention of answering.
Cassidy, who was beside her, felt that something was off and glanced at her. Seeing that she was still leisurely eating grapes, Cassidy couldn’t help but ask tentatively, “Harley?”
“Yep.” Lenora spit out a grape peel.
“You’re not answering it?”
Harley seems quite intimidating, Cassidy murmured inwardly.
Seeing her worried face, Lenora gave her a sidelong glance. “Scared now?”
Cassidy naturally wouldn’t admit it. “Nonsense! I was just thinking that now that jerk actually called you, it’s perfect timing to give him a piece of your mind!”
As soon as she finished, Lenora suddenly pressed the answer button and handed the phone to her. “Here, go ahead.”
“Oh, please… Nora,” Cassidy stuttered.
Lenora chuckled, bringing the phone to her ear. “Is there something you need, Mr. Brandt?”
Just as Harley, who had asked a question without receiving a response, heard her casual remark, he suddenly felt a tightness in his chest. “Did you spread the photos?”
Lenora didn’t deny it. “I suppose so.”
“Did you hire someone to tail me?”
Lenora scoffed coldly, “You overestimate yourself, Harley.”
With that, she hung up the phone.
Cassidy, watching by the side, instinctively applauded. “That’s the spirit!”
Lenora wanted to laugh but somehow couldn’t quite manage it. Alright, if there’s nothing else, go back to your Dashnell. Don’t do this again. It’s not worth it.”
It was like a Pyrrhic victory.
Noticing her unhappy face, Cassidy felt a pang of guilt. “What di Harley say?”
“He accused me of hiring someone to follow him.”

Lenora was silent for a while before replying, “It was my fault.”
Once naive and inexperienced, she offered her heart to him only to be trampled upon. Now that they were divorced, he still thought she was as easy to bully as before. Ultimately, it was Lenora who gave him the upper hand in the first place.
Cassidy let out a sigh, joking, “Don’t cry. Come find comfort in my big boobs.”
Lenora instantly burst out laughing at her words. “Get lost already. If nothing goes wrong, Harley’s secretary had probably already stormed into Ormonde Entertainment with his men.”
Just as Cassidy was about to say something, her phone rang. Seeing it was Linda, she had to answer. “Linda, what’s up?” “Harley’s secretary is here, demanding to see you. Hurry back now, or it’s a court for us.” Linda sounded urgent and cold. “I’ll be right back!” Cassidy glanced at Lenora, who had prophesied everything. “You’ve got quite the gift with prophecy, Nora! Your ex–husband’s henchmen have come to the company
gotta go now.”
Lenora waved her hand, hesitated for a moment, and then voiced her concern about Cassidy’s intelligence. “If Matthew threatens you, tell him that the photo was sent to me by Katelyn Sheppard.”
Cassidy didn’t quite understand but still obeyed. “Got it. I’m going back to deal with Harley’s lackey now. Don’t you dare be sad alone!”
Lenora didn’t even give her a glance, so Cassidy could only walk away sheepishly.
