“Remember how you called us all fools, Andrew?” Irene gloated. “How does it feel now? Jealous?”
Andrew let out a mocking laugh. “Jealous of you all losing everything by falling for this scam?”
Leroy taunted, “Classic sour grapes. Just wait until the money comes in–I’ll make sure to drive my new Bugatti past you so you can get a nice face full of exhaust.”
“Andrew, this is a sure thing,” Christina explained patiently. “Mr. Thatcher already held a meeting with all the major corporations, confirming Jayrodale’s massive development plans.” Andrew gave her a pointed look. “And you’re certain it’s in the East Side? Not the West End or somewhere else?”
Christina hesitated before responding, “The East Side is the most likely location, and Harvey’s family got inside information early. I don’t think there’s any chance of a mistake.”
Andrew said flatly. “It’s pointless to argue now. You’re all beyond help.”
“Andrew, I don’t appreciate that attitude,” Christina snapped. “Why must you always oppose everything I do?”
Harvey chuckled. “It’s understandable, Christie. Andrew’s just trying to get your attention in his own clumsy, pathetic way.”
Christina’s face darkened. After she had finally begun to see Andrew in a better light, all that went down the drain once more.
Just then, Francesca burst into the room beaming “Dr. Lloyd, Grandpa just called! The development payouts have been released. He was to treat you to dinner to thank you for helping the Aickers family get in early we mad a fortune!
“The money’s already been paid?” Andrew asked surprised!

Francesca gushed. “Yes! Grandpa is overjoyed. Thanks to you, we made nearly 30 million dollars in this round!”
Irene, Harvey, and the others suddenly sat up straight when they heard the amount.
“So, the Aickers invested in the East Side development too?” Harvey asked with a smug smile. “Well, you were a bit late to the game. The Weller family has claimed most of the prime land there. Still, 30 million is a decent consolation prize.”
Francesca looked at him in confusion. “I have no idea what you’re talking about. We didn’t invest anything in that dump called East Side.”
Harvey froze momentarily, surprised by her response, but quickly dismissed it. He assumed she was just playing some psychological games on him and did not bother to press further.
