Chapter 130
Merhold left after saying that Cyrus would be with me, and as soon as he did, my eyes caught sight of a small open dbor in the corner.
Something inside me pushed me to find answers, so I walked toward it. My heart beat fast as I wondered what I might find. But I couldn’t stop myself. The need for answers was stronger than my fear.
I stepped inside the room, the air heavy with dust and silence. It was different from the main office. It was darker, more hidden.
My eyes scanned the room, and I saw papers scattered across a desk. My curiosity grew, and I couldn’t stop myself from moving closer.
Fear whispered in the back of my mind, but I pushed it aside. I had to find some clues. The room felt colder here, almost like it was hiding something.
My eyes caught sight of a stack of files lying there, and without thinking, I moved closer, eager to uncover whatever I could find.
I reached out, flipping through the papers, hoping to find something. As I picked up one document after another, a sense of dread filled me.
There, in black and white, was Stefan’s name. But these weren’t just any papers. These were contracts, and they spoke of things I never expected.
And then I found it; the one document that made me feel sick. Stefan had signed a deal
with Merhold’s men, agreeing to everything. His company had gone bankrupt, and the PACK was officially dissolved.
My thoughts scrambled, trying to make sense of it. Stefan had let this happen. He had signed everything away. The PACK was dissolved by Merhold. Stefan had let everything fall apart like this. I thought to myself, feeling betrayed.
But the worst part came next. My heart stopped as I read the line, Stefan agreed to mortgage his two daughters to Merhold. I felt a rush of desperation, a deep ache that

squeezed my heart.
How could Stefan betray us like this? How could he put his own daughters in Merhold’s hands?” I thought to myself when the truth got revealed.
I stumbled back, struggling to breathe. My world felt like it was crashing down. But I couldn’t stay here in this office. I had to see Sienna. She was the only one left who could give me the answers I needed. I had to know the truth.
I made my way through the cold, stone hallways to the dungeon. The air grew heavier as I approached, and a deep dread settled in my stomach. Sienna had to be down here, locked away, hurting. And all I could do was pray that I could help her.
When I saw her, my heart broke. Sienna was battered, bloodied, and bruised. Her body was covered in the signs of torture, but her eyes were filled with rage, not fear. I stepped closer, my voice trembling as I spoke.
“Sienna, what happened to you?” I asked gently.
She shot me a glare, her voice hoarse. “You really think you can come in here and make it better? Look at me. You let this happen.”
She had every right to be angry at me, at everything. I had been blind to what was going on. But I wasn’t here to make excuses. I was here to fix it.
“I didn’t come to fight, Sienna,” I said softly. “I came to help. I have a way to get you out of, here.“Her laughter was bitter, raw. “You? Help me? You’re part of the reason I’m here!”
“I know,” I whispered, guilt sinking deeper into my bones. “But I’m going to make it right. Just tell me what happened.”
Sienna’s eyes flashed with pain, but she spoke anyway. “Stefan… he sold me. After the Johnson PACK turned me away, Stefan decided to sell me to the Dark Spectre PACK. I heard about it before it could happen. I tried to run, Doris. I tried to escape, but…”
Her voice broke, and I could hear the desperation in her words. “But I ended up in a car accident halfway across the country. When I woke up, I was here.”

Her words hit me like a slap to the face. Stefan had sold her to the Dark Spectre PACK? And she had tried to escape? I was filled with anger and sorrow. How had it all come to this?
“You’ve been watched by Merhold, haven’t you?” I asked quietly, already knowing the
answer.
Sienna nodded, her voice weak. “I wasn’t free. Not ever.”
I closed my eyes for a moment, the heaviness of her pain overwhelming me.It was all so much worse than I had imagined.
Merhold had been playing us all, and Stefan had been his willing partner. But I couldn’t let Sienna stay here. I couldn’t leave her to rot in this dungeon.
Just as I was about to speak again, the door creaked open. Merhold walked in, his cold,
calculating smile spreading across his face.
“Ah, Doris,” he said, his tone dripping with mock politeness. “I see you’ve found what you were looking for. The truth, I’m sure. All those little documents. How delightful.”
