Chapter 74 The Mastermind Behind The Lewis Family
Hazel woke up groggily.
She seemed to have just heard Joe’s voice, and the tone seemed to have encountered something shocking.
When Hazel saw the tall and upright figure of the man at the door, as well as the widened eyes of Joe outside the door, her brain jolted.
She hurriedly spoke, “Joe, let me explain.”
Gabriel and Joe turned around at the same time.
The former’s ink–black pupils flickered with surprise and contemplation, while the latter gave her a look that said, “You don’t need to explain, I understand.”
Ten minutes later.
After listening to Hazel’s explanation, Joe finally became certain that she and her ex–husband did not reconcile.
She sneakily glanced at the room Gabriel had just entered and muttered under her breath, “I have to admit,
your ex–husband’s looks are definitely worth sleeping with.” Hazel’s eyes were filled with helplessness as she said, “Stop thinking about it, he was heartless and I was indifferent.”
If Joe had come back a few months earlier, she would have seen her and Gabriel arguing fiercely. Guest room bathroom.
Gabriel, who took a cold shower, looked at the white tiles in front of him. A smile, unnoticed even by himself, spread across his face, and an indescribable and wonderful emotion grew freely in his heart.
Hazel, surprisingly, did not remarry and did not have a new man!
The “Joe” he heard from her twice before, turned out to be Joe Moran, Hazel’s bestie.
Realizing this, Gabriel underwent a complete transformation, both in terms of his aura and physical well–being.
He stood under the shower head, letting the icy water wash over his body. His muscles were strong but not exaggerated, his physique was perfect. The eight–pack abs were illuminated by the clear flow of water, just looking at them was
was enough to make one breathless.
Gabriel desperately wanted to talk to Hazel alone at that moment, to ask her why she had lied to him.
He wanted to tell her about his deal with Gianna and also wanted to find out if those videos about her “infidelity” during their marriage were true.
However, when he came out of the guest room after changing his clothes, Hazel and Joe were no longer in the dining room.
I asked the butler and found out that she had sent her friend away.
Joe came over because she was worried about her friend and three children. Upon learning that Gabriel was here, she quickly found an excuse to leave.
With the boss of the Campbell family around, who else would dare to come and bully Hazel and

He heard a noise coming from the master bedroom, and he quickly went upstairs to find Jaxon and Joshua already awake and getting dressed.
Leila was also awakened by the rustling sound, and upon seeing Gabriel here, her big eyes flickered with confusion. She instinctively reached out her hand towards him.
Leila’s voice was still sleepy, “Uncle, carry me.”
Gabriel’s heart softened, and he gently lifted her up, reaching out to feel her forehead.
I slightly breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that the body temperature was normal.
He didn’t know until he was admitted to the laboratory ward that, despite his lively and energetic appearance on normal days, he would actually develop a high fever from a small wound. At the most severe point, he had to undergo surgery due to the fever.
Gabriel thought about the time when Nyack Hazel had an emotional breakdown and their subsequent farewell.
Leila’s cheeks had become thinner, and her dark eyes unexpectedly showed regret and pity.
He reached out and touched Leila’s exploded hair, whispering, “Leila, Uncle wants to say sorry to you.”
Leila looked at him in confusion, her dark and adorable eyes filled with questions.
“Uncle’s friend had hurt Leila’s face before, causing her to have a fever and fall ill. Uncle apologizes to you.”
Leila searched and searched in her memory bank, and finally found Nyack’s memory
She turned her face away and hummed, “Uncle is bad.”
Gabriel gazed at the soft Leila in his arms, and his heart felt like it was enveloped by a warm spring.
His eyes were gentle, just like a doting father to his daughter.
“Well, Leila was right.”
He was about to take her to the bathroom to brush their teeth when he saw her fair and tender little hand tugging at his clothes.
Leila looked at him seriously and said, “Apologize to mom.”
She has not forgotten until now the way her mother looked when she made her uncle and brother leave in Nyack that day.
Mom suffered a lot of grievances.
Leila couldn’t help but get anxious when she saw Gabriel not speaking.
“Uncle, tell Mom.”
“Okay.”
The broad palm rubbed Leila’s

hair.
Hazel saw Gabriel clumsily and carefully combing their daughter’s hair after she had escorted her friend upstairs.
Leila nestled in his arms, allowing him to attempt to give her two identical little kisses, but each

Hearing the noise at the door, Gabriel looked up at her and said helplessly, “I have never combed a girl’s hair.”
Leila saw Hazel and immediately reached out her hand, pointing at her lopsided braid on top her head, angrily complaining to her.
“Mom, Leila was going bald.”
If Gabriel combed her hair again, it would be completely pulled out!

She was amused by her daughter’s adorable and cute appearance, and took the comb from Gabriel’s hand to skillfully comb her daughter’s hair.
Hazel planted a kiss on her cheek and said, “Leila is the queen of hair volume, she would never go bald.”
Leila was coaxed into laughter.

After brushing his teeth, Joshua excitedly ran out and held Gabriel’s hand, saying, “Dad, let’s have lunch quickly. Both me and my brother are so hungry that our stomachs are growling.” When she heard about eating, Leila’s eyes instantly lit up.
“Mom, let’s eat!”
The long–lost warmth of family, made the smile in Gabriel’s eyes never fade away. His
gaze frequently fell
on Hazel, but she didn’t give him even a glance. It seemed as if his existence was solely to make his two sons happy, with no connection to her. The three little ones finished eating and went to play, leaving only two people at the dining table. Gabriel told her the investigation results of yesterday’s attack, “Scar did indeed take orders from the Lewis family, but he will never have the chance to come out from there again in his lifetime. Hazel put
down her fork and asked coldly, “I remember he had already gone in before, how did he come out?”

The man’s deep ink–like eyes swept across with an elusive glimmer, “The Lewis family wasn’t wealthy, but they had some influence. Over the years, they have gradually bought off quite a few people.”
Hazel snorted, “To be able to get someone out of prison, these people must be extraordinary Gabriel did not deny this.
Just the lists that Ezra later found alone filled an entire page.
The midday sun, pouring in through the restaurant’s enormous floor–to–ceiling windows, fell directly onto the man. His sharply defined and handsome features, along with the deep depths of his pupils, harbored a bone–chilling coldness.
Gabriel advised her, “Don’t get involved in this matter, leave it to me to handle. Those people are sensitive about their identities, and it’s inevitable that they will act out of desperation. They might do something to you and the child.”
How could such a small family like the Lewis family possibly connect with so many people who are sensitive about their identities?
Rather than attributing it to the extensive network the Lewis family had built up over the years, it

is more accurate to say that the Lewis family had a true manipulative force behind them.
Gabriel found a lot of information, but the scope and level were too broad.
He didn’t want to involve Hazel.
Hazel rubbed her temples and leaned back in her chair, she discerned a deeper level of information from Gabriel’s words.
Seeing her serious expression, Gabriel spoke in a soothing tone, you and the child.”
“Don’t
worry,
I will take care of
Hazel’s heart raced for a moment because of these words, but quickly returned to calm. She thought about some gray news that Leo had found before, hesitating whether to tell Gabriel
or not.
The latter seemed to have read her mind.
Afraid that she might not give up and do something dangerous, Gabriel pondered, “The Lewis family has already crossed the legal line, but for them to go this far, there must be higher–ranking individuals protecting them behind the scenes.”
“I would completely remove the tumor behind your back, but before that, please try to go out less with the child.”
The Robinson family has already arranged someone near them, so as long as they don’t go out, no one can take them away.
Hazel glanced at him and asked, “And what about Gianna?”
