Mr. Lewis was irritated at how Hilda spoke to Mrs. Adams. After all she was her mom. “Shut up! She is your elder. How can you talk to her like that? Apologize to her immediately.”
“I don’t have an elder who would slander their guest. I won apologize. I didn’t say anything wrong.” Hilda looked
at Mr. Lewis’s angry face indifferently and spat out word by word indifferently anything wrong.” Hilda looked
“Forget about it. Okay, so why are you here today? You didn’t go to work today?” Mr. Lewis asked as he knew Hilda should have been at work at this time.
Hilda smiled faintly as she looked at Mr. Lewis. He hadn’t changed at all. Every time he had an argument with someone and got stuck, he would immediately change the topic and it hadn’t changed at all after some years. He is still the same person.
“I quit my work at the Stephenson Group. Now I’m jobless, was thinking since I’m of age I could get my shares of the Adams Group.”
“Get your shares?” Mr. Lewis nearly burst out laughing after hearing Hilda’s request with a tone which seems to be unreasonable.
“Hilda, I’ve already told you that you are not a true descendant of the Adams family. So why should you own a share of the Adams Group? So how could you be so shameless and ask for a share?” Mr. Lewis asked coldly.
Hilda looked at him and replied with the same cold tone. “Then why don’t you tell me tell me who my real parents are?”
“Your real parent? Hah, if that is why you are here then you can go back because I don’t know who they are. They abandoned you because you are a vixen.” Mr. Lewis didn’t bother looking at her and said cruelly.
“How dare..” Hilda didn’t finish her statement as she thought maybe it might be true after all. My parents didn’t want me. Tears where evident in her eyes as she felt her heart bleeding at his words. With an anxious voice she said rather coldly trying to keep her cool. “You told me you would tell me who my real parents are if I spend the night with Mr. Rex. And yes I did but you are now going back on your words. Are you not scared that I would asked Mr. Rex to still go ahead and sought out his revenge with the Adams family?”
As soon as Hilda’s voice fell, she felt a sharp pain on her scalp. Mr. Lewis rushed over to her side with a ferocious look on his face and slapped her on her left cheek.
Mr. Lewis used all his strength to slap her which even made Hilda hear a buzzing sound in her head so much that she couldn’t even think straight.
“You unfilial daughter! I shouldn’t have taken you in at that time. I should have left you out there so you died from the cold! You even want to take revenge on the Adams family after having gotten close to Mr. Rex. Have you forgotten who took you in? Tell me! Have you forgotten your surname?” Mr. Lewis yelled furiously.
“I don’t care what you think. If possible, I would rather have ended up dying than having a disgusting father like you. What does the Adams family have to do with me? I cant wait
dizzy after the slapped but coughed and yelled out at her so call See it breaking up!” Hilda was still feeling
Looking at Mr. Lewis’s furious look in front of her, whose look was no longer that gentle, Hilda thought he looked. just like a mad man and a devil.
Mr. Lewis was extremely angry. He picked up a remote from the table in front of him and was about to throw it at Hilda.
Normally, Hilda wouldn’t have spoken to him like this. Som hearing her talking to him like this all of a sudden had his blood boiling. He couldn’t keep his calm.

Hilda now had something to do with Mr. Rex so everything turned different. With Mr. Rex’s power, it wouldn’t take her much efforts if she wanted to destroy the Adams family. Therefore thinking about her words now, he didn’t want to give her any chance to destroy the Adams family.
“Calm down. You shouldn’t joke around like that. You would hurt her if it hits her.” Mrs. Adams was shocked. She quickly held the remote control and pulled Mr. Lewis back. She immediately called for the servants to lock Hilda up in the storage room. “Butler, come on over and lock Hilda up in the storage room and calm her down.”
As the butler wasn’t around at that time and had accompanied the Matriarch out, Hilda was dragged into the storage room by the maids and couldn’t resist. With a bang, she was thrown on the hard floor and the door was immediately locked from outside.
Mrs. Adams who seemed to have saved Hilda from Mr. Adams anger was jubilating deep inside of her. All she wanted was for Mr. Adams and Hilda to fall out and that was exactly what was happening.
Hilda got used to the cold hard floor for a while before she recovered. She coughed and touched her swollen cheek. A dull pain immediately hit her and she couldn’t help but pull the corner of her mouth, but the smell made her frown uncomfortable.
They were really ruthless. If Mrs. Adams hadn’t stopped him just now, he would have hit her with the remote control and who knew what would have happened.
Nathan left his office quiet earlier than usual as he decided to pass by the hospital before going home to kiss his wife company.
At the hospital, he spent some time with his grandfather before bidding fare well to go home with the excuse that he had a business meeting so he was going to get change.
He sat in the backseat of his Maybach as he was driven home. When he got out of the Maybach, he noticed that Hilda’s sports car wasn’t in the garage. He walked inside as he recalled her telling him during lunch time that she would pass by the Adams family.
Nathan waited for two hours and still there was no sign of Hilda. He picked up his phone to check if she left him any message but there was none. He then went ahead and called her but she didn’t pick up his call too.
He waited for another thirty minutes but Hilda still didn’t call him back. Was she busy? But what would she still be doing at the Adams family at this time?!
Nathan couldn’t calm himself down. He knew Hilda had a litle fall out with Carmen just two days before at the fashion shop so there was no way she would be treated with hospitality in the Adams family even thought she was also part of the Adams family. “Or she went somewhere else after passing by the Adams family?
Thinking about this, he fished out his phone from his pockets and called the bodyguard who was following Hilda.” Where are you?”
The bodyguard who was sitting in his car out side the Adams residence was stunned to have received Nathan’s call and the sudden question made him walk out of his car and stood out looking towards the Adams residence before he answered “Boss, we are still at the Adams Residence.” He didn’t know why Nathan called and asked him when he could just call her directly unless. he didn’t want to think that maybe Hilda already left or was attacked under his watch.
Nathan breathed out after hearing his reply but then again he felt some thing wasn’t right but couldn’t quiet pin point what that was. “Okay.” With that he hanged up the phone.
He went into the bedroom and got changed immediately after hanging up before walking out hurriedly.

His bodyguard had wanted to drive him but he rejected him and took the keys speeding away. In the car, he kept calling Hilda’s number but still there was no answer. Nathan didn’t know why Hilda wasn’t answering his calls but he knew for sure that something wasn’t right.
He then panicked as wild thoughts were just going through his mind.
