The next day, as the sun shone through the window into the ward, the fast asleep Hilda turned and tried to face away from the sun rays ready to fall back asleep when she was suddenly jolted awake by a voice. “Want to get back to sleep again?”
She then opened her eyes only to find herself in the hospital ward. She was having a nice dream and had long forgotten to wake up only to be woken up by Nathan. She looked around and spotted Nathan in the sofa going through some files.
She then yawned. “Yeah. Good morning.”
“Good morning. You should hurry and freshen up. We will be leaving after breakfast. You are being discharged”
Hilda who hated being in the hospital was happy that they were about to leave but mad at the fact that Nathan had woken her up from her dream.
She sulked and got down from the bed before entering into the bathroom to brush her teeth and freshen up. After she was done, they had lunch and Nathan packed up the things he had brought for her that night into a little bag and then they walked out of the ward together.
When they got into the car, Nathan thought as if he had just remembered something and announced. “There would be a birthday party tomorrow night and I want you to come with me.”
“A birthday party? Whose birthday party? And are you sure you want me to come along with you? Are you not afraid of what people would think when they see us together?” Hilda bombarded Nathan with questions after he asked her to tag along with him to the birthday party.
To her, tagging along with Nathan to a birthday party is like them announcing their relationship to the outside world.
Nathan was amused by the series of questions thrown at high by Hilda. Acting laconic, Nathan turned to her and gave his phone with a picture on it to her. “Don’t worry about what others might think. We would just keep a close distance.”
Hilda who had Nathan’s phone in her hand looked at the picture with a short bio and invitation of the birthday celebrant and to her surprise it was Christopher Anderson. She was beyond thrilled as she looked at his picture.
He was her favorite actor. Although she wasn’t a crazy fan of his, she was a fan who wouldn’t let the chance of meeting her celebrity crush slip away.
Nathan who was in the driver’s seat stole glances at Hilda who was sitting beside him and his expression turned grim. Hilda was still admiring Christopher’s picture.
When they got back home, Hilda received a call from Naim They chatted cheerfully on the phone that she ignored Nathan and walked into the hall laughing and gigging. She told Naima about how Nathan came to save her at the Adams villa.

Right now, you have the best chance to win his heart otherwise you would lose him.”
She then went on. “I know you are a smart girl. I believe you would hack what it takes to make him yours alone.”

Hilda who was blushing at the moment as she thought about what happened the other night didn’t know how reply. She pretended not to hear her question and changed the topic. They spoke till late in the afternoon when Nathan who had busied himself in the study came to get her so they go out for lunch.

In the Clemons family hospital, Mrs. Clemons had an invitation card in her hand which she intends to give to Gloria so she could have some time with Nathan the day after..
It was the invitation to Christopher’s birthday party. Although she was not that well when it came to her health, Christopher didn’t forget to give her an invitation.
And the fact she couldn’t go, she needed someone to go in her stead so she figured Gloria would be the perfect person as she had always seen her as a daughter in law.
Now in the ward, she gave the invitation card to her. “Gloria, tomorrow night is Christopher’s birthday dinner. As you know, your aunt isn’t that well so she won’t be able to go. I would be counting on you to go in my stead.”
Gloria became thrilled immediately she heard that it was an invitation to Christopher’s birthday party. She knew for sure that Nathan would be there. As Nathan and Christopher had been friends for a long time now, there was no way that Nathan wouldn’t attend the birthday party.
Since she came back to X country, she had been looking for ways to get close to Nathan but she hadn’t found any yet. Any time she tries to meet Nathan, he would either avoid her or give her the cold shoulder. Now this would be the chance for her to spend time with Nathan.
Thinking about this, she took the invitation card and sighed “I would love to go aunt. But you know, the venue is on the island between X country and Y country. There is no way I would be able to get there without a date.”
