When I was done attending to all the evidence gathered about the woman with the highest chance of being my mother, I gave my beta permission to do the DNA test. Normally, I should be happy and excited. Every part of me should have been thrilled that I was going to meet my mother soon yet I felt the opposite. This wasn’t my fault though. I had gone through the stage over and over again, I knew the procedure like the back of my hands.
This wasn’t the first time we found a woman. We go ahead with the DNA only to be disappointed. Many women have been so greedy, they went to be the Alpha’son. Crazy. This was the reason I wasn’t excited.
Apart from that, I wanted to see my mom. I really hope that this was real and not some scam.
I should have retired to my room but I couldn’t bring myself to. Especially because Cassie’s face had been in my mind for so long. I hated that she had gone with Jeremy. Titus was also not helping matters, as his restlessness and worry were bleeding into mine.
“Alpha, is there something you still want me to do?” He asked, seeing that I was reluctant to leave.
“No, you can go. I want to research mostly on all of the rogues terrorizing the small packs. Perhaps I could get a link to their base,” I said, although it was one part lie and truth.
“But I think everything will be sorted out if you become the Chairman
of the Alphas,” he said, and I nodded.
“I will be going now.” He bowed and I nodded before I heard the door open and close after him.
I needed something to distract me, I couldn’t go back to the main house because I knew Patricia would be there and I was edgy about her daughter. Also, I couldn’t trust what Titus would do if Patricia kissed me at this moment when he was boiling.
“Maybe we should mark Patricia and make her our chosen mate
“You would do no such thing to our mate!” Titus growled.

Thinking about it now, I wondered why Patricia had never spoken about it. Didn’t she want me to mark her? No, it couldn’t be. Perhaps she didn’t want to force me. She was waiting for the perfect time. I was the man, I should take the lead, Patricia was a feminine woman.
I returned to work but my eyes wouldn’t leave the wall clock and I couldn’t concentrate. I kept myself until later hoping that Jeremy and Cassie would arrive soon and I could watch him take her in. I didn’t want to act like some jealous boyfriend hence I kept everything in check until I got the pack house.
Calling one of the maids, I asked her if Jeremy and Cassie had arrived thinking I had probably missed them. She replied with a negative answer saying she hadn’t seen them. Everything emotion I had bundled and hidden away flew out back to the surface.
Titus could no longer keep his act together. He burst out of me and took over with anger. Jeremy was still with our mate by this time and that seemed to upset the shit out of him. He kept fuming while I put a call through my personal hacker, telling him to track down Cassie’s whereabouts.
I stepped out of the house without talking or seeing Patricia. My hacker soon told me that Cassie was in a club and he added his name to it. Seeing the address made me sick to the stomach. Jeremy had taken my nTe to such a disgusting place.
Arriving, I saw a glimpse of a woman who looked like Cassie getting into a car. Her scent proved that it was her. By the time I

down the bastard who placed her in the car had ignited and started to drive. Anger bubbled in me seeing her get in the car of another man.
“Cassie is scared, I could hear her ragged breath.” Titus came forward. I got in my car instantly and followed the car. I was contemplating in my mind until I arrived at the house.
There were some guards and those bastards tried stopping me.tus took over very quickly, I was human but he took over my body. He squeezed the hand of the one who tried shoving me back before slamming his head with the other one. The guards took my time on the outside as they tried to stop me from going in.
Once they were passed out, I crossed them and got into the house. In the living room, I saw the bastard who had helped Cassie into his car. He was sucking the boob of one girl. There were three girls in the sitting room.
“Who the fuck are you?” He releases the saggy boob of the girl next to him and his other finger which was deep into the cunt of the other. Shit.
Where was Cassie, it was all I wondered.
He came over and tried fighting me but he was a bean of cake as all he had on his body was fat and muscles. Cassie’s scent traveled to my nostrils and I followed it. The girls had started to shake and they pointed to the stairs too.
I followed it until I reached a room where her scent emanated from. I pushed it open and saw a short man trying to pull her panty and she was fighting him off. Titus was right.
“Who the fuck-” Before the bastard finished, I punched him on the forehead and he fell to the floor instantly.
Cassie whimpered before jumping off the bed. She ran to me and wrapped her hands around me. I caressed her hair and placed my chin on her head while sniffing her scent.
‘Thank goodness, you listened to me.’ Titus heaved a sigh of relief which followed hers.
“Did they hurt you?” I disengaged and looked at her body and she shook her head. Her eyes were wet and I saw tears slip out of them. Then I cupped her face and pulled her to me. Her scent took over me and her fear wrapped with it.
“I am here now,” I said before latching my lips to hers. She moaned and fisted my chest as I moved my lips over hers. Her chest rose and fell with anxiety that I could feel. I thought that she was going to stop but she didn’t. Perhaps push me away, I waited for it.
‘Stop thinking, let us enjoy our mate and make her crave us the most by giving her attention.
I wrapped my hands around her and deepened the kiss.
