Looking at the details, le frowned. Pushing It aside, he busled himself with work.
Nathan finally packed up his work when it was past midnight. He stood on the balcony gazing at the sky. It was deep into the night and his residence was engulfed by complete darkness. His sharp bright eyes looked brighter than usual under the night sky.
He passed by the master’s bedroom and entered. Hilda was still sleeping peacefully but he decided to watch over her lest her fever became serious overnight
As he stood by the bedside gazing down on Hilda, He noticed her initial scarlet face had now returned to normal. She was looking exquisite.
Nathan could tell at first glance that Hilda was a real beauty but he didn’t expect her to look this good.
With a smile, he pulled the blanket over her with his slender fingers. She looked rather unruly when she slept as her usual demeanor was different. It was too warm for her as she gave the blanket a kick when she felt it revealing her bare shoulders. 1
At that moment, Nathan’s gaze darkened and his breathe became more rapid as it deepened with an irregular beat. He lowered his head to look at his body and then the sleeping Hilda. He felt rather despicable with him self.
It was like ever since he met Hilda, he hadn’t been able to restrain him self. Suddenly, a deafening sound was head as Hilda’s phone began ringing. Hilda frowned at that, Nathan’s gaze darkened.
With his cold gaze, he walked over and picked up the phone only to notice it was Daniel and a few other missed calls. Curling his lips, he muted the phone and watched as it flickered on it’s own time and again paying no heed to it.
Hilda couldn’t sleep well. It was only after some time did she fell warm and relaxed slightly the more she felt comfortable. But for some reasons, she felt like someone was keeping watch on her with a cold gaze. She even felt chills running down her spine in her dream.
She opened her eyes and noticed the unfamiliar room Naturally she was in a daze as she stared dumbfoundedly at everything in the room. The lack of familiarity made her feel unsafe.
The though of this made her pull the blanket aside to look at her clothes. Her dress was replaced by a long white sleeve shirt of a man’s. The shirt was big that it had reached her thighs looking a bit funny on
her.
She stared in shock at what she was wearing and slowly began to come back to her senses.
She had gone to her family villa to visit her parents. Then she overhead their whispers of her not being their daughter and how they want to send her off in marriage to form an alliance. Then she run out. All of a sudden Nathan’s face flashed in her mind. It was him.
As the memories from the night began to resurface in her mind, she turned pale and couldn’t help but tremble slightly.
She knew how much her parents favored her sister but she had believed that is was because she was the youngest. Hilda never expected that they only treated her this way because she was not their biological

child. So all these while, they have never thought about her as their own.
“You are awake?”
A man’s clear voice rang across the room interrupting her train of thoughts. She cautiously took a few steps backwards only to accidentally bump into the bed and fall right back into it. Her face looked paled. Nathan raised an eyebrow as he looked at her who looked so frightened. Why is she behaving this way?
Realizing that she may have overreacted, Hilda smiled awkwardly. “Mr. Nathan“.
“Mmm.” Nathan nodded. “Good to see you are awake. Are you feeling alright? There is some medicine on the table for your fever.”
“Fever? I don’t have any fever.” Hilda took a deep breath. She didn’t want to be indebted to him but he still came to her aid this time around too. “Thank you! But my…” Hilda awkwardly looked at the clothes on her. “These clothes.”
“I changed you into it!” Nathan replied. “There are no maids or women in this house, so I had to.” ⚫Hilda blushed as she bit her lower lips. How could he say something like this so straightforward?
Hilda was embarrassed as she thought of how she had exposed her body to Nathan which seemed to be at regular occurrence when ever she was around him. “Ah.. No. That’s not what I meant. I’m asking about my clothes. Where is it?”
Nathan noticed how embarrassed Hilda was and how hard she was trying to hide it making her actions unnatural. Smiling helplessly he explained. “It’s probably still not dried up yet. I don’t have a washing machine here as all my clothes get sent out to the laundry.”
“Are you hungry?” Hilda felt hungry after hearing the question.
She hadn’t had anything when she went to her family villa last night and she spent all night crying a drained her energy.

When she nodded, Nathan pointed to the bathroom. There is a new set of tooth brush and tooth paste. Freshen up and come down and eat when you are ready.”
“Okay!”
As she watched Nathan turn to leave, she covered her face as she felt it was burning.
She hurriedly entered the bathroom. Looking at the exquisite design, she realized Nathan’s taste was really extraordinary. Whether the bathroom or bedroom, she noticed the interior design of these rooms were top notch.
Judging by the brand new products on the sink, she noticed Nathan had prepared it for her. Hilda felt her heart warm by this sweet gesture.
After a while she was done as she walked out of the bedroom. It was only after walking out did she notice it was Nathan’s master bedroom. A strange thought suddenly crossed her mind.
Nathan was about to go up and call her when he noticed she was standing in front of the bedroom door without coming down. He gave the railing a light knock and asked. “Are you not feeling hungry Miss Adams?‘

Hilda snapped out of her daze and regained her composure. “Sorry to trouble you Mr. Nathan.”
She followed him into the dinner hall and realized how big the place was. Does he live alone in this big house? “Do you leave alone Mr. Nathan or with your family:
Nathan’s gaze darkened as he raised an eyebrow. He turned and looked at her with his cold gaze.
Immediately their eyes met, Hilda couldn’t help but shiver slightly. Did she say something wrong? She didn’t expect Nathan to react this way at the mention of his family.
