#26 BONUS
The dress fitted her perfectly. Even the underwear she was given fitted well. Technically, they were both strangers but the man knew her size very well.
Hilda bit her lower lip and looked at herself in the mirror. She was blushing. She slapped herself in frustration. “Hilda, wake up!”
After a while, she calmed her nerves before tugging on the dress awkwardly before leaving the restroom.
The man was not in the bedroom when she entered and she had no idea where he was. Feeling relieved, she patted her chest only to notice the man walking out of his walk–in closet. She widened her eyes instantly.
She had know that Nathan had an athletic build and a perfect body. But looking at him now, she was in awe. The man had a black suit on. Since the curtain was opened, his back was against the sunlight, and so he appeared like a deity with a halo. Hilda was so in awe. She merely stared at him without blinking her eyes.
Nathan was holding his cufflinks with one hand as he tidied his sleeves. When he saw the dumbstruck Hilda, his lips curled into a devilish smile. He then took his sunglasses off gradually, raised his eyebrows mischievously and his deep set eyes stared into Hilda’s. “What’s wrong?”
Hilda retracted her gaze with an awkward smile on her face. “Nothing. Let’s get going then.”
Nathan raised his eyebrows in surprise and smile. “Great.”
Getting in the drivers seat, Nathan started the ignition an reminded her. “Seatbelt.” The car then charged and sped off towards the Civil Affairs Bureau. The ride was bumpy but soon they arrived in front of the Civil Affairs Bureau.
Hilda adjusted her clothes after getting down and followed Nathan from behind. Her palm was sweaty.
She moved out of their Family Villa at the age of sixteen with the help of Daniel. He was the only person who showed her love and today here she is getting married to a stranger.
Stanley had already gotten the place evacuated before they arrived. There were only some staff members left in the Civil Affairs Bureau main hall, as they were already ready to serve them enthusiastically. After all who wouldn’t want to know the lucky woman getting married to the most handsome bachelor in Taadi city.
They filled in the forms, had their photographs taken and procured their marriage certificate. Hilda obtained her marriage certificate in one go. Upon receiving the certificate, she stole a glance at her husband’s details.
Nathan Clemon, 27 years old. He isn’t that old as he is just 8 years older than I am. I think it is acceptable.
Hilda got married without a wedding ceremony or anyone’s blessing. She held onto the certificate booklet and scanned it several times. It was her name and photograph indeed but she felt that it was all a dream.

Looking confused Hilda asked, “What’s happening in a weeks time?”
Nathan thought it was pitiful that he was leaving his wife as soon as they got marriage. “What did you think? That we going to leave separately after getting married?”
Hilda felt nervous instantly as she thought about his question. She had not thought about that yet. Don’t worry. I won’t cheat on you. I will be waiting for you then.”
In the end Hilda thought it was fair since she was married now. Dropping her off, he rubbed her hair and speed off.
Looking at the car speeding off Hilda was dumbfounded. Nathan’s actions just now was intimate.

The next day. Since she still hasn’t quit her job, she prepared and headed off. On her way to saw the building of the Clemon Group.
Clemon Group was the top company in Taadi City, and it had with it countless elites across different industries in the world. Workers who work there are all intelligent with top results and were top students from each city across Country X. 1)
Getting to work in Clemon Group had never been a part of her plan as she had thought she would get married to Daniel and help him manage his father’s company. But now thinking about it, her life would change as long as she gets into the Clemon Group.
However, that group belongs to her husband now. Thinking about it she smiled as Nathan’s image flashed in her mind.
Arriving at the office, her former assistant Annabel came over and said. “The Director has called a meeting and expecting all the heads in thirty minutes time.”
“Okay got it.” Packing up the stuffs to get ready for the meeting, she called the Manager who took her place when she left to fill her with some insights she needed to know before heading for the conference

Hilda soon found her seat. As she sat down the manager who took her place after she left frown immediately she entered and saw Hilda in the seat.
Looking at her she sneered in her heart. She had been gone for two years only to come back and act all bossy now, seems like she hasn’t taken it serious that I’m the manager now. With a cold gaze she entered and sat beside Hilda.

Chapter 13.
Hilda noticed her gaze but payed no heed to it after all who would be happy when her position is about to be taken from her. Still going through the documents in her hand Hilda ignored her.
After a while Daniel entered alongside his father. Mr. Stephenson. Hilda looked at the man who was walking over and smiled viciously.
Daniel looked down as soon as his saw the familiar gaze. The meeting started and ended after an hour.
Exiting the conference room, Daniel called on Hilda to wait. Since he was his boss, she heed to him and stayed behind.
Daniel was stunned yet again when he saw how pretty Hilda was getting by the day. His eyes lit up and couldn’t react for a while.
“Mr. Daniel, you asked me to wait behind.” Hilda snapped him out of his daze coldly.
“Hmm yes. I want to talk about us Hilda.”
Laughing Hilda sneered. “Us? Hah. Have you already forgotten about you being engaged to my sister? Give me a break.”
“Hilda you know why I got engaged to Carmen.” Hilda knew very well that he abandoned her because she wasn’t involved in the family business and she got no shares eithe
Walking closer he held onto her. “I love you Hilda. I will always….”
Without waiting for him to finish Hilda pushed him away. “Excuse me sir, if it ain’t about work, I got nothing to talk to you about personally. I would be taking my leave.”
