Shaking her head, Hilda didn’t dare to say anything but just stared at Nathan who was standing in front of them.
Rex also noticed the fearful expression she had on when she looked at Nathan who was currently standing in front of them. He eyed him and snorted before trying to walk pass him but Nathan stood in front of him again.
Angered by him Rex roared. “Hey, what do you mean by what you are doing? Move out of the way.” With that he tried to walk pass Nathan again and he was blocked yet again.
Fuming, Rex pointed at Nathan and said. “Do you know who I am? You wouldn’t want to mess with me if you do so move out of my way.” As it was a norm at Kiki Bees, your woman come be taken away if one wants to. More like survival of the fittest. Without bordering to answer him, Nathan took Hilda by the other hand and tried to walk out with her.
Seeing what was happening Rex was boiling with rage. He then tightened his grip on Hilda.
Rex gritted his teeth as he stared at Nathan with gaze full of menace. “Who the hell are you and what do you want?
“Let go of her!” Without replying him Nathan beckoned him with his gaze on his hand which tightly held onto Hilda without sparing him a single glance.
Hilda shook her hand as she tried to free herself from Rex but to no avail.
Rex who was known for his promicuous lifestyle was holding onto her right in front of her husband but she couldn’t bring her self to let him leave her.
Rex was close to having Hilda accompany him for the night but the sudden appearance of Nathan thwarted his plans. His eyes bulged angrily whiles his whole face was filled with rage. “How dare you ask me to get my hands off her? Stay out of my affairs you punk!” He snarled
Nathan turned and stared at Rex with a cold killer stare.
Rex was shaken when he saw his gaze but put up a brave front. “What are you going to do? Do you know who I am? I am the young master of the Rex family and the future heir to the Rex Group!”
“No one dares to touch me in the whole of Taadi City because the consequences would be dire.” Rex quickly added.
Nathan stood directly in front of him with a disinterested look. “Are you done with your nonsense?”
His reply gave Rex a shock who thought Nathan would crouch down in fear after hearing his name. After all, att who hears the name Rex Cross, the Young Master of the Cross family cowers in fear.

Surprised, Nathan stared at him with his brows raised.
Thinking that Nathan was scared, he continued. “You scared now? Huh? If you know what’s best for you, you will let go of my babe before I call security.”

But to his surprise, Rex blocked his path before bursting into laughter. “Who do you think you are to ban me you punk!? Do you think I do not know Mr. Clemon myself? An impersonator like you should have their legs broken. Wait until I tell Mr. Clemon.”
Nathan’s gaze darkened before sauntering to where Rex was standing. No one dares to get in his way. Hilda who was behind him shuddered.
Unwarily, he raised his leg and stomped on Rex’s right leg with brutal force.

Nathan broke Rex’s right leg. Which sent Rex rolling and writhing in pain on the floor whiles he wailed.
As the music was still loud in the bar, no one heard Rex’s wail.
With an unconcerned look, Nathan walked back to Hilda who was staring at Rex who was cursing at Nathan on the ground. “Let’s go.” He said softly.
Hilda bit her lower lips resolutely. It was not possible for her to pity a monster like Rex who was close to ruining her life.
With that, she turned around and followed Nathan out of the club.
Nathan’s Maybach was already packed outside. When they got to the car, Nathan opened the backseat and sat down with Hilda following suite. One of the bodyguards took the drivers seat and the other, the passenger seat in front.
Nathan shut his eyes after sitting down as if he was taking nap and was oblivious to the fact that Hilda was sitting right next to him.
The car engine revved and sped out. After some time, Hilda noticed that the car was headed to her apartment. But the car was engulfed with silence as no one spoke.
Hilda was kind of nervous as she knew Nathan might be mad at her. She didn’t meet up with Rex but she was forced to do so.
In the grip of silent panic, the air inside the car felt like it was suffocating her. Everything was so quiet that she could hear the sound of one’s heart beating in their chest.
Breaking the silence, Hilda stuttered. “M- Mr. Nathan, I didn’t plan to come to the club with Mr. Rex. I was forced. Immediately you left, two men came over and…”
To her, Nathan wasn’t talking because he felt cheated so she had the urge to tell him what really happened. She was desperately trying to explained what happened when Nathan cut her off. “I know.”

Then why isn’t he saying anything? Hilda stared at him.
Nathan was amused by Hilda’s stare. He thought, I’m deep in thought not because I’m mad at you. “I’m sorry I Jeft you half way through the packing.”
Huh? Again Hilda was shocked. She was nervous and fidgety since she thought Nathan was mad but here he was apologizing to her. Like Nathan the cold and aloof CEO actully apologized to her? But why would he?
The car soon came to a stop but Hilda seemed to still be immerse in her daze that she didn’t notice. Nathan then! nudged her with an elbow, Raising an eyebrow he asked, “What are you thinking about?“!

Snapping out her daze she looked at Nathan. “Huh?”
“We have arrived for quiet some time now but you seemed to be in a daze. What were you thinking about?”
Blushing Hilda shook her head. “No, nothing.”
“Hmm. Then let’s get off now.” With that Nathan got down from the car followed by Hilda who was trying to look calm before they sauntered together towards her apartment
