Nathan had just walked into the hospital’s corridor when he heard laughter coming from the old man’s ward.
He frowned and hurried his footsteps. To his surprise, when he opened the door to the ward, he saw his mom cracking jokes with a lady who had her back to the door. Taking a closer look at her, his gaze darkened. What is Gloria doing here? Isn’t she suppose to be overseas taking care of their family’s company?
Walking in Nathan loosened his eyebrows. “Mom.”
Mrs. Leah Clemons smiled. “My dear you are here. Gloria has been waiting for a while now. She was worried about you when she heard about the Patriarch’s illness so she rushed here to keep you company.”
“Gloria” Nathan nodded his head at her only after hearing has mom.
Gloria then jumped on him and hugged him tightly. “Nate, miss you so much. How are you doing?”
Nathan frowned and replied calmly whiles pulling her out of his embrace. “I’m doing fine. You shouldn’t be here.”
Gloria held onto his hand and pouted. “Aren’t you happy I’m here? Didn’t you miss me? It’s been a year since…” Meeting Nathan’s eyes, she swallowed her words and didn’t dare complete her sentence.
Nathan released his hand from her grip and walked towards his mom and dad. “Dad, you should take mom back home now that am here. Besides, there are specialists taking care of grandpa now so he would open his eyes soon.”
Gloria knew Nathan hated her after what happened that year but she didn’t expect him to treat her like this after not seeing her for some time.
“You know how stubborn your mom is right? She wouldn’t leave till you got here.” Mr. Damian Clemon said helplessly.
“I am not stubborn. I just didn’t want to leave Gloria here all by her self. We will be leaving now then son. Gloria, I would see you…” With that said, Mrs. Leah then held onto her husbands hand before walking out of the ward together.
As Nathan watched his parent leave, he turned his icy gaze at Gloria who then in term stare back at him pitifully. ” Nathan, don’t tell me you still hate me after what happened. You know it wasn’t my fault either. I never expected that to happen.”
Without bothering to reply her, he said coldly. “You should leave. Go back to Y country.”
She took quick steps towards Nathan. “Nathan what do you mean by I should leave? I am your fiancé. I should be here with you in your hardest moment. Grandpa is lying here unconscious. I came to keep you company but all you have to say to me is for me to leave? What happened to our relationship?”
“You of all people should know what really happened to our relationship. You know what really happened that year very well so please..” Nathan said coldly.
With tears in her eyes she hang unto Nathan. “Nate, you know how much I love you. I had no idea something like that was going to happen. Believe him. If I knew L…”
“Enough!” Nathan was already enraged. “I don’t want to see you. Go back to Y country.” With that said he turned around and walked out of the ward.
Gloria bit her lips and stared at his back. All this while he never changed. I am back this time for good and I would never let him go. You would be mine whether you want it or not.
With determination written all over her face, she wiped the tears on her face, picked up her bag and walked out of
the ward.

Hilda, who gave you the Ferrari?” Daniel barged into Hilda’s office without knocking and questioned her furiously.
Hilda was shocked by the sudden barge in by Daniel but was rage when she heard his questioning tone. “Who do you think you are to question me when I do something?”
“Hilda, what do you mean by that? Are you that cheap? You ccompanied Rex for a night and then all of a sudden you got a Ferrari. Was all those years you were with me pretense to get your hands on my family’s fortune?”
Hah so that is what he thinks of me now. That I was after his family fortune all this while. How come I fell for someone as foolish as him. Looking at him now, Hilda regretted ever being his girlfriend.
“Ain’t you going to say something?” Daniel roared furiously. “If it is a Ferrari you want, just be my woman and I would get you much more than that.”
Hilda had the urge to burst into laughter but decided against it. She looked at him amused and said coldly. “This would be the last time I would be telling you this. If it isn’t related to work, don’t come into my office. Now leave!”
“I am your boss. I can come into your office any time I want and you can’t do anything about it. If you can’t take it just quit and be sure that with your current reputation no company would hire you.” Daniel threatened.
Oh? So that is why he acts all bossy. Because he thinks I won’t get anything to do after leaving here. My husband is Nathan Clemon so why would I even want to work? “Then I quit!”
With that, Hilda started parking up her stuffs to leave.
Daniel panicked as he wasn’t expecting Hilda to quit just like that.
Naturally, Hilda knew Daniel was just threatening her to get her to give in to him. As expected from someone as him. However, she wasn’t in any mood to argue with him about it.
reason she was working here was because of him. She joined his family’s company because she thought she was going to be with him and get married. Getting married meant running the company together so she just wanted to start from the scratch and get a full grasp of the company.
But now that their relationship has ended, it meant that she wasted four years all for nothing.
But since she has learnt a lot about management, she was sure it was worthwhile. It was time for her to leave and her next step was the Clemon Group to garner more experience. Since he had asked her to quit, she had sort of finally receive her closure.
Although the Clemon Group was her husband’s family company and he was the CEO, she wants to apply depending on her own strength to get in there. That was the reason the experience she accumulated here was worthwhile.
And she couldn’t bare to see Carmen and Daniel every time she got to work as it was more like a pain in the neck.
‘It is better for me to quit and rest for a few days. I have to adjust to my new status as a married woman.” With that thought in mind, Hilda hurriedly printed her resignation later.
Suddenly, Daniel yelled. “Hilda, if you agree to forget about Mr. Rex and the man with the Maybach, I can let you continue your work here.”
However, she remained silent and continued packing
