However, Hilda wasn’t in the mood to pay him any attention. She just shook his hands which was on her shoulders. “Please show me some respect.”
However Daniel still held onto her and roared. “What do you think you are doing? I asked you to quit and here you are planning to quit. Which means that you ain’t going to work and no company would hire you with your current reputation. Have you not thought about the consequences? Don’t you want to continue working here? Don’t you want to fulfill you dreams of becoming a domineering female CEO? If you promise me that you would break up with both Mr. Rex and the man in the Maybach, I would forget about asking you to quit right now. Hilda, you can’t just give up like this!”
Upon seeing her keeping mute and looking lifeless, Daniel became frustrated.
Isn’t she always confident and stubborn in herself? Why is she giving in to me all of a sudden?
Sadly, Hilda ignored him. After packing up all her materials and stuff into a box, she carried it and walked out of the office.
At this time, some of her co–workers who heard the commotion when Daniel was shouting were all staring at her.
Under everyone’s curious gaze, Hilda walked out of her office with a box and walked towards the elevator.
However, Daniel caught up to her angrily. “God d*mn it! Say something Hilda. You can’t just leave just because E said so! I want you to stay and continue working here.”
He couldn’t let her leave. He wanted her to stay so he could hate her everyday.
All her former co–workers were staring at them. ‘What is happening? They all thought.
Why his Mr. Daniel chasing after Hilda and asking her not leave? Was there something really between them?
All they could think was unless there was something really between them Mr. Daniel won’t be this agitated. They all watched as Mr. Daniel chased after Hilda and murmured between themselves.
But no one dared to say what they guessed out loud. As Daniel noticed that the workers had their eyes on them he roared. “Ain’t you lot starting work now? What are all of you doing staring? Now get back to work if you don’t want to be fired!.”
Immediate Daniel said that, no one dared to stay around as they busied themselves with work
Daniel kept on chasing after Hilda from the fourth floor all the way to the ground floor acting so much like a spoilt child.
“Hilda Adams, are you listening to me? I am telling you to stay. Can’t you hear me? You can’t leave without my permission. I want you to stop right now. I said stop! Stop can’t you hear me?”
Daniel was starting to panic because he thought that this would make Hilda give in to him. Instead, she seemed alright with leaving. As if she had given up on her own future.
While watching the drama unfold, Williams Stones said. “Daniel, you should already give up on her. As you can see she has already made up her mind. This is all because of you. Don’t think I don’t know what was going on between you two. You cheated on her with her own sister and later she was labelled as the mistress. Look at you. Not only did you cheat on her and left her broken hearted but you even went ahead to ask her to quit. Her whole life is going to be ruined with this whiles the outside world still labels her as a mistress all because of you. It is all your fault!”
Upon hearing Williams, Daniel was completely startled.

He knew it was his fault when he choose to hide the truth about their relationship on that faithful day. And he knew the media made a big fuss about her being the third woman trying to ruin her sister’s engagement but he didn’t expect all this to be a big ruckus as to be the reason for her to quit.
To him he thought everything was redeemable as the circumstances she quit was just because he threatened her. As long as she surrenders to me, I can make her get back to work. However not only did she refuse to surrender to him but she choose not to even say anything.
At that moment, Daniel was completely dumbfounded as he didn’t expect the outcome to be this dire. I’m only marrying Carmen for her shares. If she would listen to me and wait, I would marry her as soon as I get my hands on those shares and divorce Carmen.
Why is she so stubborn that she is quitting her work now? How would I get to see her everyday if she leaves now. She knows how much I love her.
Hilda arrived at the entrance of the company. The wind blew towards her as she breath out some air. Finally, I am out of this group. I always thought about the day when I was going to leave this company this pass few weeks and now that I’m leaving the feeling alone.
To her, it was a joyous day as she begins a new phase in her life. She is now a married woman. Although she knew it was quite impulsive for her to get married, she knew this is the time for her to let go of somethings in the past.
With those thoughts in mind, she walked towards her new sports car with smiles on her face. Just when she was about to leave, Daniel suddenly rushed out of the company building into the parking lot frantically and grabbed Hilda by her shoulder. His emotions were weirdly agitated so Hilda thought he was about to shout at her but to her surprise, he looked at her and said the most unexpected thing.
“I’m sorry..” He lowered his head in guilt. “I didn’t know this would happen but I don’t want you to stop working here. I also don’t want you to move with Mr. Rex as he is already known for his promicuous lifestyle. Don’t worry, if you don’t want to work here any more I would find a way to get you into one of my acquaintance’s company. You are hardworking so it wouldn’t be a problem for you.”
Hilda wasn’t expecting Daniel to utter those words but sadly, it was all too late. Just as she was about to shake his hand off, he spoke up again. “Hilda, if you could wait for me, I promise I would get a divorce from Carmen after…”
Hilda wasn’t expecting him to utter those last words after all what he said but it was expected. No matter how guilty he felt he was, it was the same schemes. He is expecting her to wait for him. “Enough Mr. Daniel! It is already too late.”
Daniel then stared into Hilda’s eyes as he heard her say it was already too late. Hilda suddenly pushed his hands off her shoulders. “I have to go now!”
With that Hilda entered into her new sports car. As soon as she entered her car, she stepped on the accelerator and the car sped away.
