Daniel was furious as he chased after Hilda’s car but he quickly lost her. He kick his feet into the air again and again. On the other hand, Williams felt defeated. Even though he never told Hilda about his feeling for her, he felt confident as Hilda was still working under the same roof with him.
However, watching her leave at this moment he had an illusion that it would be impossible to ever see her again. She doesn’t even know that someone like me exists. He then sighed.
Afterwards, Williams patted Daniel’s shoulder. “Alright, she is gone now. Let’s get back inside there are people watching.”
Daniel was burning with rage as he already knew Williams also had feelings for Hilda. He swatted his hand away and sat on the ground.
“It is useless for you to sit on the ground now. She is gone! You had her but didn’t appreciate her. You finally got what you wanted. You left her no choice Daniel…” Williams murmured when he saw how Daniel looked.
Daniel’s gaze darkened and he got up from the ground before heading into the company with Williams following suite. 1
In Nathan’s residence, Hilda had already gotten home and was sitting in the hall. She looked at the box with her stuffs in it and sighed. She went up with the box and placed it among the stuffs she brought along in the guest
room.
She played with her phone for sometime and then went to master’s bedroom to take a nap since there was nothing else she could do and was already getting bored.
Meanwhile on the last floor of the Clemons Group, in Nathan’s office, Stanley was reporting to him about what happened with Hilda. “Boss, Madam quit her job at the Stephenson Group earlier today.”
Nathan raised an eyebrow. “It was expected. Where is she now?”
“The bodyguard who was following her reported that she went back home and she hasn’t been out again.”
“Okay.” Nathan replied.
“Boss, are we going ahead with the acquirement of the Stephenson group now?” Stanley knew for sure that Nathan wouldn’t let the Stephenson Group off.
“Should you ask me about this too? Stanley, it looks like you are lacking back on some few things now.“Nathan said calmly.
Hearing his reply, Stanley shuddered. “Of Course not Sir.” He knew for sure Nathan wouldn’t mind sending him back to work.
“Just hit them slowly until they are on the verge of bankruptcy and then acquire it at a lower price.” Nathan’s eyes were cold when he was talking about the Stephenson Group
“Okay. And about the other documents, I have sent it to your email.” Stanley felt like he was sitting on pins and needles. As sweat drenched the back of his shirt when he say Nathan’s cold gaze on him.
‘Okay.” Nathan then buried himself with work only to look up and notice Stanley was still standing in front of him. “What else?” He asked coldly.
“S- Sir, about Miss Gloria…” Stanley stuttered as he knew it was a taboo on Nathan’s part for one to mention Gloria’s name.

“I already asked her to go back to country Y. You don’t have to worry about her. You can leave now.”
With that Stanley walked out of his office.
In a five star hotel located in the city center, Gloria was busy smashing everything she could get her hands on.
“How dare Nathan tell me to leave? Who does he think he is? He should be glad that I took a liking to him. Arghhh”

With that she threw everything on her dressing mirror onto the ground.
Her bodyguards were standing outside but no one dared to stop her as they knew her temper very well. After sometime the noise of things breaking halted and the room became silent.
Gloria came out in a long bodycon dress. “Get someone to clean the place up. And you come with me.” With that said she walked away.
Hilda was already up at this time and was feeling very hungry. She went downstairs to the kitchens to see if she could make something for her self. At this time, her phone rang.
Looking at the Id, she smiled before answering it. “Naima.”
“Don’t
aima me!” Came from the other end of the phone. |
“Oh babe, I miss you.” Hilda replied while laughing.
“I miss you too sweetie. Where are you now? I’m at your apartment but you ain’t here and you quit your job too.” Naima replied sourly.
“It’s a long story. But when did you come?” Hilda asked.
“I just dropped. Where are you? I’m famish. Let’s go eat something.” Naima then replied.
“Ohk. I’m… I’m… Send me the location let me meet you then. I am hungry myself.” Hilda stuttered as she replied. She didn’t know how to tell her friend she was now living with the most sought after bachelor and she is even. married to him.
“Sure I would send it to you now. But Hilda…? Is there something you ain’t telling me?”
Hilda laughed. “Hahaha. Don’t worry. There is nothing. I would see you soon then.” With that she hanged up and headed to the bedroom to change herself.
She then went to the garage and started her new sports car The engine revved as she moved out towards the location Naima had sent to her.
At Pot Belly Restaurant.
Hilda had arrived as she parked her car in the parking lot. Inside this restaurant was all kind of continental and. inter- continental dishes. It was a five star restaurant which was known for it delicious delicacies. It wasn’t a surprising fact that made most people to fall in love with their dishes.
It is also a dating spot for most rich and influential people to take their love ones out for a get together or talk about business.
Naima was already waiting for Hilda so she was in a little bl of a hurry. She then bumped into someone. She had her hand in her bag trying to take out her phone so she didn’t notice that someone was in front of her.
“Are you blind?” The person yelled.

“Sorry, I’m so sorry.” Hilda hurriedly apologized. She didn’t notice the lady in front of her earlier and bumped into
her.
“You sorry? Hah.. Didn’t you see where you were going?”
“I’m really sorry Miss. I didn’t mean to…” Hilda apologized profusely.
“You sorry? Look what you did. My bag is already dirtied. Do you know how much it costs? Can you even afford the compensation?” The lady demanded angrily. She was none other than Gloria.
She just finished a business meeting and was heading out when Hilda bumped into her.
“I’m very sorry. I didn’t bump into you on purpose. I would dust the dirt off.” Hearing her tone, Hilda didn’t want to argue much with her.
“Dust? Are you deaf? My bag is already dirtied and it is a custom made bag made with fur. What’s the point of dusting?” Gloria snorted.
Hilda then took a step back and raised her head to look Glona in the face. “I already apologized and wanted to wipe the dust off the bag but you still think it is not enough Tell me, what else do you want?”
“What do I want? What else do you think? My bag is already ruined. You have to get me a new one. So of course, you need to pay for it.” She said with her nose in the air.
“How much is your bag?” Hilda asked with a sneer as Gloria was being unreasonable.
“Five thousand and fifty five dollars!” She said proudly as if it was a moment of glory to flaunt the price of the bag.
There was a smug look on Gloria’s face when she stared at Hilda and noticed the flustered look on her face after Hilda heard her mention the price.
