Chapter 51

When Nathan saw her walking towards him he frowned. He had wanted to snub her but he knew for a fact that his grandfather would berate him if he does. She is my grandfather’s guest so I might after all just give her that respect.

When she got closer, she stopped right in front of Nathan and that was when Hilda had a clear view of how she looked. she had a long wavy black hair with beautiful blue eyes and wore a red lipstick.

lently praised her. “Wow, she looks just like a fairy but wait, she frowned, she looks familiar she t Taking a second look, isn’t she that unreasonable lady from the restaurant? ‘F*ck! she happens to be Nathan’s ex fiancée? How can such an unreasonable woman be his fiancée?. She thought.

After the invitation card was given to her and Nathan was asked to be her companion, Gloria went to greater height to choose her dress for the party. She wanted nothing more than to be the prettiest lady of the night.

She thought, if she was the prettiest lady of the night, Nathan would not be able to take his eyes off me.

“Nate, you are here.” She called out sweetly.

“Uh–huh” Nathan nodded indifferently and walked towards the ship with Hilda following suit with her head down.

Gloria didn’t recognize her as she had all her attention on Nathan. In her mind she thought. ‘Nathan looks gorgeous. Only a woman like me deserves a man like him.”

When Hilda noticed the look his Gloria’s eyes as she stared at Nathan, Hilda frowned. ‘Why is she looking at my husband like that?

As the venue of the party was on an island between X country and Y country, the distance was quite far. After they arrived at their destination it was already dark, that was when Hilda understood why they had left home earlier when the party was in the evening.

After they had arrived at the harbor, they boarded a ship. After they had travelled further on the sea, they had to take an helicopter on an unknown island to the venue.

When they reached the venue for the party, it was already dark. ‘I really don’t understand these rich guys. Why do they feel the necessity to hold a party on such a remote island?‘ Hilda thought but after thinking about how good the scenery looked after she got down from the plane she understood.

While in the helicopter, Hilda looked down at the island and ocean surrounding it. The green island looked like a giant emerald, adorning the blue ocean.

Putting the European style villa’s and the classical decoration aside, the colorful flowers, the blue ocean and the clean beaches formed a beautiful landscape.

The island was covered by tropical trees and flowers. The temperature here was above twenty degrees through out the year. After climbing out of the helicopter, Hilda stretched out her arms to loosen her sore muscles and smoothed her hair lightly.

Nathan handed his coat to the butler and was in his white shirt. He looked really handsome in his white shirt.

Gloria also got off the helicopter and held onto Nathan’s arm without minding the people around them.

Hilda was burning with anger when she saw this. How dare she hold onto my husband right in front of me? She thought as she was filled with rage.

Nathan wanted nothing but to let the world know that Hild was his wife but he was also worried. He didn’t mind

taking Hilda to his family house but he knew it would turn out badly if they knew she had no back ground.

He also knew they wouldn’t mind using under hand methods to get rid of her. After all there was no family to back her not even the Adams family would.

She turned to look at Nathan who was also looking at her helplessly.

“Miss Adams!” A man’s voice resounded behind her. She turned to see who it was. From not far away, she saw two men approaching them. They were all dressed smartly. It was Samuel and Kyle. Samuel was in a black suit where as Kyle was in a white suit.

As Hilda had not met Kyle before, she didn’t know who he was. When Samuel got closer, he stared at Gloria who was holding onto Nathan’s arm in confusion. ‘Miss Gloria? What is she doing holding Nathan’s arm?‘ He thought.

Hilda was surprised to see Samuel here. “Mr. Fleming, how are you?” She greeted him. As they were saying their hello’s, she walked away from Nathan and Gloria and stood beside Samuel.

She was disgusted with how Gloria was acting out like she was Nathan’s wife. That was when Gloria also recognized her. How come? Isn’t she the b*tch from the restaurant and mall the last time? Carmen’s sister? How come she had been on the helicopter with me without me noticing?

Nathan’s face sour at the fact that Hilda was standing beside Samuel but yet again he knew it was good that way. He took out his phone from his pocket and typed out a message to Hilda. The message read. ‘Stick with Samuel. Be sure to tell him if you need anything too.‘

When Hilda received his message she became stomp. If he knew he already had a companion then why did he ask me to come? Hilda tucked her phone in her pocket and looked at Samuel.

Samuel who had also received a message from Nathan nodded his head at her. He then turned to introduce her to Kyle. “Miss Adams, this is Kyle Michel, Kyle, Miss Hilda Adams, I have told you about her before.”

“Hi Mr. Michel.” Hilda reached out her hand to greet him.

“Miss Adams, nice meeting you. Just go ahead and call me Kyle. Don’t stand in ceremony and call me Mr. Michel.” He took her hand and shook it.

Hilda smiled and replied. “Sure Mr. no Kyle. And I would also prefer you call me Hilda.”

Samuel who was standing aside spoke up after hearing that “Mrs. Cle.. Erm I meant Miss Adams, you have never asked me to call you by your name after all this time but look here you are telling Kyle to. How about you call me Samuel too.” He joked.

Hilda laughed after hearing Samuel’s joke. “Sure, sure, Samuel.”

Gloria who was standing beside Nathan was confused as she thought. ‘How could a girl from the Adams family get to know Kyle and Samuel and even talk to them freely where as me who grew up together with Nathan, they don’t even spare me a single glance.‘ Envy was evident in her eyes as she stared at Hilda.

The group walked in as Samuel was joking around with Hilda laughing. Seeing this, Nathan frowned. He came with his wife but now another man is keeping her company and making her laugh. How ridiculous.

The venue was already packed when they walked in, a throng of celebrities were already at the venue. Everyone of them was having fun. When people saw them walking in, the women especially nearly went crazy. “It’s them. The big three,”

“Oh my God! I can’t believe I’m seeing Nathan Clemons! Another one of them exclaimed.

“Oh my God, they are all so hot! I like all three. What should I do?” A second woman also exclaimed,

Later the group split up. Kyle was pulled away from his friends by two beautiful women. Nathan and Gloria stood else where. Samuel and Hilda stayed put as the stared at each other awkwardly.

A waiter came to them offering all kinds of alcohol. Samuel took a glass of wine from the tray. When Hilda was about to pick one, Samuel beat her to it and told the waiter. A class of lemonade, please.”
