Shaking her head, she thought there must be something wrong with him. “What kind of woman was I? Huh? The kind that was meek and docile. The submissive and kind woman who listens to all your orders? The one who calls you ‘master‘ and follows you around like a dog following it’s master? You sent me away to further my education since you said my skills would be needed by the company. It was all a plan right? A scheme for you to hook up with my sister when I was away. What happened to us facing trials and tribulations together? Glaring at her who was speaking with anger Daniel couldn’t understand what he did wrong. Buh after a moment of gazing at her, he noticed that after a few days of not seeing her, she looks way more prettier as the days goes by.
Turning around, Hilda walked into her apartment complex and took out her keys to open her door. Entering her room, she spare no glance at Daniel as if he was a plague. All she wanted was to be far away
from him.
Thinking about the chat she had with Daniel just now she felt disgusted. Seeming tired, the talk just now had drained her.
Daniel looked at her till she entered her apartment and felt an inexplicable feeling of sadness welling up Dewithin him. Was that the docile woman who loved him so much all this years? What happened to the
once caring, patient and understanding woman.
All this while I thought she would understand why I have to be with Carmen. If she could still feel a little bit of love she had for me, she would know I love her. What had changed? At least we could still be friends. Or she is acting like this because of the man with the Maybach? What at all did he say to her to make her so unreasonable?
Soon the weekend has passed. Arriving at work, Hilda took a deep breath. Walking into the lobby, she noticed the strange looks everyone had as they stared at her. She was already prepared as she expected

Walking into the building, she heard whispers coming from some of her colleagues.
“See she is the one. The home wrecker.” Pointing at her one colleague said.
“Look she is pretty too so why would she choose to come between her sister and brother–in–law?” Another colleague added.

away into her office. Although she had expected this to happen, she didn’t expect them to be this hurting.
In her office, she was preparing her stuffs as it has been a while since she had been there when she heard a knock. “Come In.” Raising her heard to look, so noticed it was her assistant from before.

“Don’t worry, I’m okay. Let them say what they want to say.” Hilda shook her head. Although she said so herself, she felt bitter after all, she was the one being wronged as the home wrecker.”
Annabel knew there was a little thing between Hilda and the Director because she had seen them together some times before.
“Welcome back though. But now I got a new leader. Since you have been away for two years, I’m now working under someone else but if there is something you need, I will always be here.”
Smiling Hilda replied. “You don’t have to worry. I will be okay.”
After chatting for a while, Annabel left.
Sitting in her office Hilda sighed. She needs to apply for work elsewhere because it would be bad for her to run into Carmen and Daniel here. With that in mind Hilda started typing her resignation letter. After all, she has furthered her studies so she would be able to enroll in a company bigger than this.
As the day ended, Hilda packed up and headed to visit her family after all it been two years since she left home for her studies.
Arriving at the doorsteps, Hilda became worried, standing there for a while, the butler noticed her hesitance and hurried to open the door and ushered her in. “You are back Little Young Miss. Why are you standing by the door? Please come in.” Smiling the butler led her in. “Miss you are finally back. Madam and Master are in the study.”
Nodding, Hilda replied. “Okay, I would heard there first.” Holding something in her hand, she gave it to the butler and headed for the study.”
Taking the gifts the butler made her way into the kitchen.
Heading inside, she heard voices of whisper coming from the study. Getting closer, she heard her mom. mentioning her name. “Lewis, Hilda is such a b*tch. She is just like her mother. If I had know she would be competing with my daughter I wouldn’t have taken her in.”
“Shut up Amanda! You know you shouldn’t be saying this now. What if someone overhears? Let me think of something so that she doesn’t get to come between Carmen and Daniel.”
Looking shocked, Hilda’s face turned paled. She isn’t their biological child. So that was why they kept on maltreating her? Everything she did was inappropriate in front of her mother. She thought if she gave everything to Carmen, studies and becomes first in class, her mother would love her but nothing seemed to faze her because she was never her daughter. Holding back her tears she leaned closer.
