Chapter 103 You’re Yawning Nonstop
David pressed his lips together. “Try it.”
His tone was full of threat.
“Perfect,” he continued. “Andrew’s joining tomorrow. You can be transferred under him.”
Caroline went quiet. That would be a nightmare! He’s doing this on purpose!
But David didn’t say another word. He placed his hands behind his head and closed his eyes, as if about to fall asleep any moment.
Caroline gritted her teeth and reluctantly lay down. Fine, I’ll sleep. Anything’s better than working under Andrew.
She still preferred staying under Boris.
David’s lips curled slightly, almost imperceptibly, before quickly straightening back out.
Caroline carefully lay on her side of the bed, half of her body hanging off the edge, trying her best not to touch David.
There was a galaxy’s worth of distance between them. David didn’t mind.
Every time he saw her sleeping so peacefully on the couch, it bothered him. Because his sleep quality was terrible, and the slightest sound would wake him up.
Now, she was sleeping next to him. Let’s see how Caroline would manage to sleep peacefully!
Caroline had no idea about David’s thoughts.
Throughout the night, she was in and out of sleep, constantly waking up, almost falling off the bed a few times.
As for David…
He remained perfectly still, sleeping soundly, and when he woke up, he felt refreshed.
Meanwhile, Caroline felt completely drained. With two dark circles under her eyes, she sat at her desk, yawning nonstop.
Boris walked by and let out a sound of surprise. “Not feeling well?”
“Mr. Boris,” Caroline quickly stood up. “No, I’m… just working.”
Although Boris seemed easygoing and liked to joke, she still needed to show respect due to his position.
After all, he was the vice president, and her mentor.
“Last night was a bit intense, huh?” Boris raised an eyebrow and teased. “David’s full of energy, and here you are yawning away…”
Caroline was speechless.

“You know, they say there’s no such thing as an overworked land, only a tired ox. So by rights, it should be David who’s exhausted, not you.”
He had been saying all along that David was falling for her, but David refused to admit it. He was just being stubborn, playing hard to get.
When the time came and he got his wife all worked up, there wouldn’t even be a place for him to cry.
“Mr. Boris…” Caroline quickly shushed him. “Please, don’t joke around.”
What is he talking about? We just innocently slept on the same bed.
David slept fine, but she hadn’t gotten any rest.
Boris gave her a look and said, “Alright, just make sure personal matters don’t affect work.”
With that, he turned to leave.
“By the way, Mr. Boris,” Caroline said, “Andrew’s starting soon. You’re not planning to transfer me to his team, are you?”
“Are you joking? I worked hard to bring you here, and now just hand you over to someone else?”
Caroline smiled, her eyes curving up. “Thank you, Mr. Boris!”
“Forget about Andrew. Even if David came to ask for you, I wouldn’t give you up,” Boris added. “Caroz‘ is already in the works. If it succeeds after launching, you’ll be a major contributor.”
“Too kind, too kind. It’s all thanks to everyone working together.”
Boris was busy and didn’t stick around to chat. Once he entered his office, he didn’t come out.
Not long after, Caroline saw Andrew.
It had been a while since she last saw him. The once arrogant, rich playboy is now walking with his head down, looking stiff and lacking confidence.
