Chapter 145 No Retaliation, No Talking Back
Caroline would never just let herself be bullied without fighting back!
Finished
“Come on, who’s afraid of who?” Caroline said. “Elizabeth, there’s a saying: enough is enough. You’ve bullied me this much already, and you still want to continue? Then don’t blame me for being rude!”
“Oh? You think you can fight back?”
Caroline replied, “I will fight back!”
Elizabeth didn’t believe her and reached out to grab her hair. Caroline not only dodged but grabbed Elizabeth’s hair first and gave it a hard yank.
“Ah! Let go!” Elizabeth screamed. “Are you crazy? How dare you do this to me! Mr. Ellison won’t let you off!”
David?
Heh, let’s wait until he shows up!
At least before he appears, she wouldn’t swallow this humiliation!
“Elizabeth, I’m giving you two options. Either get lost now, and we can both be fine–everyone will be fine,” Caroline said coldly. “Or, we can pull each other’s hair, scratch faces, and fight to see who wins!”
“You can’t fight back! You even dare to disobey Mr. Ellison’s words? How bold!”
Caroline’s voice was louder, hoarser. “I don’t even care about my life anymore. You think I’m afraid of this?!”
Meanwhile, on the second floor.
David stood quietly on the balcony of the master bedroom.
Everything happening at the front door was in his full view.
“Mr. Ellison…” Paul stood behind him, cautiously suggesting, “If this goes on, it won’t end well… Should I have the driver send Miss Elizabeth home and let Madam return to her room to rest?”
David retorted coldly, “Who gave you permission to make decisions?”
Paul quickly lowered his head. “I wouldn’t dare.”
“Go,” David’s hand rested on the balcony railing, fingers lightly tapping, “tell Caroline to beg for mercy properly. If she dares to get up for even one second… then she can beg for mercy for another hour.”
“This…”
“And,” David’s face grew colder, his words even more chilling, “have security hold her down. No matter what Elizabeth does to her, she must endure it!”
A flicker of pity flashed in Paul’s eyes, but he could only obey. “Yes, Mr. Ellison.”
In the Ellison residence, Mr. Ellison’s word was law and could not be defied.

Caroline and Elizabeth were locked in a stalemate when suddenly two security guards approached.
Seeing this, Elizabeth immediately shouted, “Quick! Pull her away from me! You’re finally here, come help
me!”
“Yes, Ms. Elizabeth.”
Caroline froze for a moment.
Were the guards really here to help Elizabeth? Was this David’s order?
Before she could figure it out, the guards had already separated them and then twisted Caroline’s arms behind her back, firmly restraining her.
Caroline couldn’t move.
“Apologies, Madam,” the guard said, “this is Mr. Ellison’s order.”
As expected, she was right.
Caroline asked coldly, “David wants me… to not fight back, not talk back, and he even forbids me from standing up. I must beg for mercy, with my knees never leaving the ground for even a second, correct?”
The guard nodded.
Caroline said nothing more. She slightly tilted her head to look toward the master bedroom on the second floor.
She could see a tall, imposing figure standing on the balcony, looking down with an air of superiority.
That was David.
From beginning to end, he had watched everything happen.
He allowed Elizabeth to hit and insult her, but when she tried to fight back, he intervened.
He was backing Elizabeth.
