The bright headlights of his car illuminated the old building, and the faint words “Women’s Health Hospital” appeared.

He slammed the accelerator, speeding toward the hospital’s entrance, only to abruptly brake.
The tires screeched, grinding against the pavement.
The front of his car was mere inches from the hospital’s doors. If he had been even a second slower to hit the brakes, it would have crashed.
As soon as the car came to a stop, Nash jumped out and rushed inside.
“Caroline! Caroline! Where are you?”
“Operating room… That way!”
“Julia, don’t mess this up. Don’t do something stupid!”
Nash murmured to himself in panic, his feet pounding toward the operating room.
The deeper he went, the more unsettled he became.
This didn’t feel like a hospital, it resembled a shady clinic.

Nash couldn’t even bear to think about performing surgery on Caroline at this place and environment.
Behind Nash, David followed closely.

The building was small, and Nash’s frantic footsteps echoed loudly in the corridor.
Julia and Caroline both heard the sound.
“They’re here! Someone’s coming…” Caroline, who had been consumed by despair, suddenly saw a glimmer of hope. “Someone’s coming to save me…”
Julia quickly turned, giving orders to the bodyguards by the door. “Lock it down.”
“It’s locked.”
“Good. Stand guard. If anyone tries to break in, stop them. Understood?”
The bodyguards responded in unison, “Yes!”
Caroline, who had resigned herself to the worst and believed her fate was sealed, now had a flicker of hope.
“Your plan won’t work, Julia.” Caroline clenched her teeth, her voice trembling. “I’ll be saved soon, and you won’t be able to touch my baby!”
Julia, holding the flashlight, smiled wickedly. “No, the timing’s perfect. Don’t think just because someone’s arrived that you’re safe. Have you considered who will be the first to arrive?”
Caroline froze.
“If it’s Mr. Ellison, do you think he’ll break down the door to get in? Or will he wait outside for the surgery to end and for you to come out? If it’s Nash, well, I won’t let him in!”
Caroline’s body trembled uncontrollably.
Yeah, who’s going to get here first? David or Nash?
