Only you would go to Julia and stir up jealousy and insecurity in her! I leave the Brooks residence with David, and right after that, I’m under house arrest at the Ellison residence, and Julia shows up at my door. And she even prepared the stairs for me to escape. You gave her all this information. You knew it all too well! Even Nash didn’t know I was pregnant, but she did, and she wanted to go after me! The reason for all this is clear if you think about it for a second. Elizabeth, I’m not stupid, and neither is David!”
There were very few people who knew Caroline was pregnant with Nash’s child.

“You’re wrong,” Caroline said. “My child is not Nash’s. He never showed up the night he bought me!”
