“Caroline, you don’t actually think soaking in ice water is enough, do you?” David spoke lazily. “You really don’t understand men at all.”
“Then what else do you need?”
“Exactly what we’re doing now.” David smirked. “Got it?
Caroline was so embarrassed she didn’t even know how to respond.
“It’s all on you now.” David leaned back comfortably in the bathtub, tilting his chin up and closing his eyes. slightly. “You decide when we’re done.”
“… How am I supposed to decide that?”
“You just have to try harder.”
Caroline bit her lip, contemplating an escape. David glanced at her. “Or you can keep wasting time here.”
Water splashed softly in the bathroom.
Half an hour later, Caroline bolted out as if she had just survived a disaster, her face burning red.
Behind her, David’s deep, magnetic laughter echoed.
She didn’t dare recall what had just happened in there it was nothing short of… a nightmare!
David was absolutely shameless!
Caroline shook out her sore arm, rubbing it gently.
But at least she hadn’t lost her innocence tonight.
And David… hadn’t either.
Seriously, who was the bastard that drugged him? In the end am the one who suffered!
She heard footsteps behind her and immediately stiffened, afraid to turn around in case he was… completely naked again.
David walked past her, now dressed in a black silk robe that draped smoothly over his body. His damp hair hung slightly over his forehead, giving him a laid–back almost casual look.
Most of the time, David was the picture of a polished businessman–impeccable suits, perfectly knotted ties, gleaming leather shoes.

“Lost in thought?” David lifted the covers and lay down on the bed, glancing at her. “What are you standing

Of course it was sore. But she wasn’t about to admit it–otherwise, David would get all smug, thinking he was that impressive.

“I’ll give you a massage.” David’s lips curved into an unexpectedly gentle smile. “Come here.”
Caroline wasn’t in the mood for his games. “Can I go home now?”
“No.”
“Then where am I supposed to sleep?”
David patted the space beside him. “This bed’s plenty big for the both of us.”
Caroline wanted to say she’d sleep on the couch.
But the couch had bloodstains. It looked a little too gruesome.
And besides, David had already cooled down. He probably wouldn’t try anything now.
After hesitating for a while, she finally climbed into bed but she stayed as far to the edge as possible–half of her body practically dangling off.
At first, she remained on high alert. Every time David shifted or even coughed, she immediately snapped awake.
But eventually
She drifted off.
When Caroline woke up again, the sun was already shining brightly outside.
And something felt… off.
Why was it so hard to breathe?
She opened her eyes and found herself staring at a broad, muscular chest, firm and well–defined.
Wait. I am in David’s arms?
Caroline shot up, shoving him away. Her sudden movement startled David awake.
He lazily opened his eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“You… I…”
“Hmm?”
