Chapter 357 DNA Analysis
Elizabeth had no idea what David was planning.

Her future had already been determined–she would never hold a rightful place or title in his world. But in the grand scheme of things, she wasn’t really losing much–after all, the child she was carrying wasn’t David’s, but Andrew’s.
Their so–called relationship had always been built on mutual deception and manipulation, both trying to use the other for their own gain.
In the end, neither of them would walk away victorious.
Just then, David’s phone rang.
He glanced at the screen but didn’t answer. Instead, he turned to Elizabeth and said, “Get some rest. I’m leaving.”
Before she could reply, he had already turned and walked out.
Elizabeth bit her lip, watching him leave.
But just before he disappeared from sight, she noticed something–he answered the call the moment he stepped outside.
With his free hand, he shut the door behind him, blocking her view completely.
A conversation he didn’t want me to overhear? Suspicion stirred in Elizabeth’s mind.
She hesitated, then quietly got out of bed, tiptoeing to the door and pressing her ear against it, trying to catch anything she could.
But the VIP suite was too well insulated. She could barely make out David’s deep voice, and full sentences were impossible to hear.
She could only pick up a few scattered words.
David was still right outside, and she didn’t dare open the door in case he caught her eavesdropping. She could only try to listen as best she could.
Outside the room, David came to a halt. “What’s the update? Have there been any breakthroughs with the hospital’s DNA testing?”
“Mr. Ellison… Actually, we still don’t have any updates, so…”
The voice on the other end sounded hesitant.
It had been so long, yet there was still no breakthrough. Knowing Mr. Ellison’s temper, this wasn’t going to
end well.
But there was no avoiding the report.
As expected, David’s tone turned cold. “Useless.”
“Mr. Ellison, there are millions of people in this city, and the DNA database is massive. The comparison

We haven’t taken a single break. I believe we’ll have results soon!”
“Give me an exact time frame. How much longer?”
“Uh…”
David’s eyes darkened. “Am I supposed to just wait forever? How much longer?”

“We’re working as fast as possible! We’ve already ruled out over a million DNA profiles, and we’re narrowing it down.”
“If you don’t have enough people, reassign staff from other departments,” David ordered. “I expect results before the month is over.”
“Understood, Mr. Ellison! We’ll do everything we can!”
“Don’t report back until you have a confirmed match.”
With that, David ended the call, his brows furrowing deeply.
So much time had passed, and yet there was still no progress. The delay was unacceptable. The efficiency was far too low.
But beyond that… something wasn’t adding up.
DNA matches weren’t limited to immediate family. As long as there was a blood relation, even distant relatives should have shown some degree of similarity.
And yet, after all this time, they hadn’t found a single match?
Even one distant relative could lead them to the correct family and, ultimately, the person they were searching for.
But so far, nothing.
Could it be that Caroline’s child’s father wasn’t from this city? Was he from somewhere else?
If that were the case, finding him would be like searching for a needle in a haystack–an almost impossible task.
The situation was turning out to be far more troublesome than he had expected.
