Nash had witnessed everything–David playing the perfect partner to Caroline in front of Harper, then carrying Elizabeth in his arms as if she were the only one who mattered, while Caroline was left alone on the roadside, looking completely abandoned.

What was being hidden here? Maybe if he followed Andrew, he’d finally get some answers.
Andrew wouldn’t be wandering around a hospital this late for no reason.

His heartbeat quickened–whether from excitement, tension, or the thrill of uncovering a secret, he wasn’t
sure.
Then his phone rang, Julia’s impatient voice snapping him back to reality. “How long is ‘soon‘? You’re lying, aren’t you? At this rate, I could wait another hour and still not see you.”
“I won’t take long.”

eyes remained on Andrew as he moved discreetly, making sure not to be noticed.
“Nash!” Julia’s tone sharpened. “Come home now. If you’re not here in twenty minutes, I’ll be waiting at the Newton estate instead!”
“Julia, you-”
Twenty minutes. That meant he had to leave now.
But what about Andrew? Was I really going to let this chance slip away?
Julia’s voice rose with frustration. “Ever since I took Caroline to that hospital and tried to get rid of her baby, you’ve been cold toward me. You keep saying you’re busy with work, but even something as simple as dinner together has become impossible. You’re gone all day, working late into the night, even on weekends. And when we’re in bed, you turn your back to me. You still act like you care, but I know you haven’t forgiven me. I can’t take this anymore. Do you even love me? Are you seeing someone else? Is there another woman? Because I don’t believe your job is keeping you away this much!”
Nash kept his tone steady. “Julia, I don’t have anyone else. Stop overthinking. I’ll be home soon.”
“No! You have twenty minutes.”
“Can you stop being unreasonable-”
Calling her unreasonable was a mistake.
Julia immediately burst into tears. “So you really don’t love me anymore… Fine! Then let’s call off the engagement. I’ll go to the Newton estate right now, tell your parents everything, and move out. You won’t have to deal with me anymore!”
