Chapter 110
Chapter 110
Larry, who was on watch outside the stilt house, heard the commotion through his earpiece. His face turned grim. “I agree with Stanley. Let him go. Saving Quinlyn is our top priority right now”
If he had known it would come to this, he would have prevented Quinlyn from coming, even if it meant taking a lot of people with him.
The task force found themselves in a tricky situation too. They hadn’t anticipated just how important Quinlyn criminals. It was a perfect opportunity for infiltration, but Quinlyn was just a kid.
Before they could finalize a plan, Quinlyn’s voice came through the earpiece. “If I follow you can you give me
other
“Even if you want ten, that’s possible,” John replied, grinning. I’ll bring one to you tomorrow. Anything else you need t long as I can do it, I’ll make it happen for sure.”
Quinlyn shot him a glance, shook her head, and didn’t say a word
“Alright, alright, don’t be mad. I was wrong earlier. Come on, and sit down. I’ll have some fresh dishes served” John sad returning to his friendly demeanor but with more sincerity. “Come on, you two. Join us too”
Bennett and Donny took seats at the table. The driver was carried out, and soon a steaming hot meal was served. Although the blood had been cleaned up, the lingering scent served as a subtle reminder of the tense situation they had just endured
Bennett wiped the blood off his face with a damp towel. He still looked shocked, his palms cold and sweaty
Donny felt the same way. He stole a glance at Quinlyn and noticed she had started eating quietly again, her fingertip stained with a reddish hue.
To be honest, if he were in that situation, there was no way he could stay as calm as Quinlyn, let alone eat
John clearly wasn’t focused on Bennett and Donny. He just took the chance to drink and shower Quinlyn with compliments “You all are lucky to follow her right from the start. From now on, whatever your salary is. I’ll double it–just take good care of Quinn.”
He added with a mocking laugh, “Look at how pale you guys are. You’re nowhere near as capable as Quinn. Two years ago. when I was crossing the borderlands, she had already made a name for herself.

road she chose, no cops could catch her. Even when everyone else in the car was dead, she always managed survive. Now, anyone wanting to transport goods through the borderlands looks to Quinlyn for help, she’s practically charm for protection.”
Quinlyn remained quiet the whole time, focused on her food without responding
But Bennett, Donny, and the others outside were completely stunned. Nobody really knew Quinlyn’s past. Even after looking into it, they only knew she grew up as a lookout in the borderlands, with a knack for survival. But now, they were beginning to grasp her true talents.
As the gathering came to a close, John called out, “Quinn, why don’t you stop by my office tomorrow? Let’s figure out the schedule for the borderlands trip.”
Quinlyn stood up, burped, and asked, “What about the person I’m asking for?”
John’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Tll have her sent to you first thing in the morning. But why do you want a woman as a mom! Got some plans?”
Quinlyn just shook her head and softly said, “I just w
want a mom to be there for me.”
John looked surprised at her answer, then smiled knowingly. “Makes sense. At ten, that’s about the age you’d want your mom

around
After they finalized their plans, they left the restaurant
This time, a new driver was behind the wheel. He hardly said a word during the ride and quietly dropped Quinlyn and the others off at the hotel before driving away.
After confirming that no one was monitoring, the task force and the Hill family started to arrive one by one.
Stanley and Larry quickly pushed the door open to find Quinlyn washing her hands at the sink. Dried blood clung stubbornly to her skin, making it difficult to wash off. She scrubbed with soap several times to get her hands clean. The sight struck both of them.
“Your clothes are dirty, too. Let me get you a new set, Larry said, heading to the living room
Stanley waited until Quinlyn emerged before guiding her to sit on the sofa. With a concerned expression, he half–kneeled in front of her and asked, “Were you scared?”
A slight change flickered across Quinlyn’s blank face as a spark lit up in her big eyes. She touched Stanley gently with her clean fingertips and said. “I’m okay. Stanley”
Stanley let out a sigh of relief. He placed his large hand on her small head and rubbed it vigorously, as if to vent his frustration. “You little thing, where do you get such courage from?” The meeting today had almost taken years off his life. Quinlyn pressed her lips together, unable to suppress a smile. “Did you find any leads on them buying people?”
“Yeah, my whole team is on it, Stanley replied, a hint of frustration in his tone. I thought Joseph was just being nice by letting me tag along, but it turns out he wanted free labor”
Quinlyn was more than willing to help Quinlyn. But being tricked by an arch–enemy was another thing
Thankfully, Stanley’s team was there. Handling the constantly changing lender websites was beyond what a lone tech specialist could manage.
Before long. the room was bustling with people. Quinlyn changed her clothes and came out to find the living room filled
with data

“Hey, you can’t look at this. It’s not for kids. Go play elsewhere,” Stanley said, waving his hand and shooing Quinlyn away- even he felt his eyes hurt just looking at it
Larry, accustomed to his carefree lifestyle, picked up a loan document and examined it closely. “Pretty face, nice figure,
deal” overall rating of 70, can lend 300 thousand. Wow, what a great
As he spoke, he tossed the paper aside in disdain. No matter the reason, using these loan shark websites was illegal. Besides, most people who ended up on these sites were desperate, they often became regular clients lured in by false promises.
Larry continued, “Now, we can basically confirm their business model. They first deceive young women with promises of absolute confidentiality, getting them to sign electronically with short–term interest rates. Then they switch them over to contracts with high interest rates.
“When the women realize they’ve been scammed, to pay back the loans and protect their photos, they end up being sent out as escort girls‘ or working as prostitutes in bars.
“The final step, which is also the most profitable, is the one–time buyout service. This involves luring the girls to remote arras, knocking them out, and then selling them elsewhere”
This mature industry chain had been secretly operating under the guise of a legitimate color photo printing company for

over a decade. If it weren’t for Quinlyn accidentally knowing John, the task force might have been searching forever withou results
“We have the website now, but we’re missing essential evidence,” a technician added. “None of the documents have John’s signature or any trace of him?
After the technician finished speaking, there was a heavy silence in the room. They understood that the quickest way to catch the culprits was to catch them in the act.
