It was better not to chase a desperate enemy, especially one who didn’t care about human life–it was incredibly dangerous. But Donny couldn’t let John get away.
The quick footsteps echoed down the emergency exit. John pushed the emergency door open, gritting his teeth against the sharp pain in his hand as he pulled out his phone and dialed a number.
As the call connected, John blurted out, “Hey, help me. I’ve been set up. Yeah, at the meetup club. What? How is this my fault? Who could’ve known that little punk-
“Don’t move! If you run again, I’ll shoot!” came a loud shout from behind, cutting off his call.
John instinctively gripped his phone, raised his arms, and slowly turned around. The moment he saw Donny, Donny was already right in front of him.
Bang! John was punched square on the nose and fell to the ground, pain shooting through him. Donny held him down and hammered punches into him.
They had been searched when they entered the club, so there was no way that Donny had brought in any guns. However, in his panic, John didn’t notice.
“Tell me! Was it you who sold my sister?” Donny growled, grabbing John by the collar, his eyes burning with dark fury.
“Dude, who are you talking about? I don’t even know her, John groaned, struggling to speak through the agony. But even if he knew her, he would never let her go alive.
“Nancy! My sister’s name is Nancy. Are you really going to say you don’t know her?” Each time Donny mentioned her name. it felt like his heart was bleeding.
But John’s expression remained blank. He had trafficked so many “goods” that the women had become like cheap cups on a shelf–impossible to remember.
Donny’s eyes turned red with rage, almost murderous. “Damn it! You even forgot her.”
His precious sister was ruined just like that, and to her killer, she wasn’t even worth mentioning. How could Donny not be filled with hatred?
But just as Donny was choking John, a sudden roar erupted from the garage beside them.
The headlights flashed blindingly, making it nearly impossible to see. Tires screeched as a car sped toward them.
Donny vaguely saw the barrel of a gun sticking out of the car window. But at that point, the bullet had already been fired. His body froze in shock, unable to dodge.
Just then, a small dark figure leaped at him, using the force of the impact to push him to the other side.
John’s face lit up in joy as he quickly got up to wave at the car. “Im here!”
But just as he finished speaking, another gunshot rang out. The bullet struck him right between the eyes, freezing the smile on his face and leaving a look of confusion flickering across his features
The car didn’t slow down: it raced forward and hit him directly. With a deafening crash, John lay lifeless in the middle of the road.
Quinlyn pressed Donny down, hiding in the shadows, her eyes fixed on the car. The car windows were heavily tinted, allowing those inside to see out while obscuring the view from the outside.

She sensed the gun scanning for them, but thanks to a blind spot, they failed. Eventually, the car moved on, racing toward
the exit.
Quinlyn quickly activated her earpiece, speaking calmly and clearly, “Someone killed John. License plate 453B, sedan with black tint.”

The reception in the underground garage wasn’t great, and after some static, a voice responded. “Copy that. We’ve sent someone to pursue. Quinlyn, how are you doing? Are you injured? Where exactly are you? The Hill family’s trainees can’t find you.”
“I’m okay. I’m in the garage now.” Quinlyn had already gotten up and walked over to John’s side. After confirming he was dead, she picked up the phone he was still clutching in his hand.
The call had been made just two minutes ago. He had a partner–to be precise, he had a superior.
Over an hour later, the club was shut down, and everyone was taken away by the local police. At John’s company, aside from the regular employees, all the underlings had vanished.
“All the data in the database was destroyed, the official seals are gone, and the scene was thoroughly cleaned up. The person who took them was usually a quiet security guard, but he was undocumented, and his identity was fake, Bennett murmured.
Stepping out of the company building, he couldn’t resist lighting up a cigarette and taking a deep drag. John was dead, but there was still a bigger fish lurking behind it
Stanley felt a twinge of sympathy. “At least the evidence is safe, and those victims can be rescued later. That’s something positive.”
“Hmm.” Bennett nodded. Then he heard a commotion behind him. He turned around and saw a crowd of employees. gathered at the company entrance, not moving.
Someone in the crowd shouted, “What does John’s crime have to do with us? We got hired through proper interviews and did honest work.
“Now you’re saying the company has problems and just shutting down, throwing us out? Who are we supposed to talk to? We didn’t sell those women.
Losing their high–paying jobs with great benefits, the employees became hysterical and nearly clashed with the police..
One of the young police was about to step forward to address them, but Bennett held him back and said, “If you go, you might end up getting complaints.”
“But don’t they realize? Earning about nine thousand a month with full benefits, just sleeping until three in the afternoon and editing a few photos–is that really fair? Their money is built on the suffering of victims, the young police said, furious.
Bennett patted him on the shoulder, and sighed. “They know, but their lazy nature makes them choose to ignore the truth.” This was human nature at its worst.
Finally, Larry calmly walked out of the building and tossed a stack of documents into the employees‘ faces.
He sneered. “These were all found on your computers. Whether you visited those sites intentionally or not, it makes you accomplices. I won’t bother to hire a lawyer and press criminal charges against you,”
As soon as he said this, many employees‘ expressions changed. They snatched the documents and rushed off.
“You’re amazing. Larry!” Stanley said, giving him a thumbs–up.
Larry strutted over like a confident model, moving with flair. “This time, you’re the real hero, aren’t you? Bennett, Bennett, are there any rewards to recognize Stanley and Quinlyn’s contributions?”

Bennett nearly coughed on his cigarette. He chuckled awkwardly. Of course there is Il report it when we get back and let you know then?
He felt somewhat cautious around Larry, always sensing that Larry had both good and bad traits, and there was an undercurrent of hostility towards them. So, Bennett didn’t dare to be casual. Even though the issue wasn’t fully resolved, the reward was still owed.
Before leaving Yocriton, Quinlyn went to see Linda. To ensure Linda’s safety, the local police personally escorted her home.
As the car door opened, Linda saw Quinlyn standing by the vehicle and instinctively flinched, traces of fear evident on her
face.
Back in the club, Quinlyn had treated human life like it was insignificant, the image of her stabbing a fork into John’s hand was still fresh in Linda’s mind.
Noticing Linda’s fear, Quinlyn quietly took a step back, observing her for a moment before deciding to leave.
“W–Wait a minute, Linda suddenly called out,
