“It’s a spot given by Devin, the celebrity who visited last time. It seems to be a children’s variety show,” Quinton explained.
Mandy tugged on Quinlyn’s hand, pleading. “Come with me, okay? A lot of people from our school are going. It’s a pity you weren’t here the other day–otherwise, you would’ve definitely been chosen.”
Quinlyn wasn’t interested in being on TV. But if Mandy wanted her to go, she could join her. So, she nodded.
“Great! We can hang out together now,” Mandy exclaimed, hugging Quinlyn with a bright smile on her face.
In the end, they all decided to go, while Quinlyn stayed out of the camera’s view.
At night, Quinlyn returned to the Wilson residence, only to find Elowyn had already heard about the show.
“I was out for afternoon tea today, and many people were saying their children were taking part. If all goes well, they might even land an ad deal, which would be a great experience for them,” Elowyn said,
In wealthy families, children’s education often emphasizes experiences over books. Especially in the last couple of years. with the popularity of shows featuring parents and kids, many child stars had emerged.
Zaid and Joseph, just back from the office, had a different viewpoint. “With so many young kids from affluent families together, safety will be a concern. The insurance costs must be substantial”
Elowyn thought for a moment. “It probably is. I wonder who’s behind such a lavish setup. Let me ask around.”
She inquired with some close society friends and quickly found out–several award–winning actors and actresses were participating, which made it all make sense.
Joseph loosened his tie and glanced at Quinlyn, who was engrossed in a picture book on the couch. “Quinlyn, are you sure you’re okay with that?”
Logically, the less exposure second–generation wealthy kids had on camera, the better. It minimized risk. Quinlyn’s situation was even more delicate since the case in Yocriton was still unsolved. The unknown perpetrator felt like a ticking time bomb, making him uneasy.
“I’m not a guest,” Quinlyn replied, still holding her book. “I’m the manager for Mandy and Quinton”
Zaid almost spat out the water he was drinking, while Elowyn laughed so hard that she had to hold her stomach.
He didn’t see Quinlyn’s status as a problem with being Quinton’s manager, as long as she enjoyed herself. He just advised, “Make sure to bring a few extra nannies.”
The next day at school, everyone was buzzing about the show. Many students came to thank Quinlyn, grateful for her connections. Without her, Devin wouldn’t have been so generous.
Because of that, Quinlyn even got Devin’s number and sent him a thank–you text.
In just a few seconds, Devin called and said, “Hello, Quinlyn, why are you being so formal with me? Stanley will be upset.”
Quinlyn always felt a bit uneasy dealing with the smooth–talking rich kids and could only respond honestly, “I should thank
you.

Quinlyn recalled those crime documentaries where criminals were shown with the faces Marred, handicated and aming in an interrogation room. She firmly refused, “No, thanks”
“Alright, I’ll come and get you then Devin said, feeling a bit disappointed but quickly coming to terms with a Larry and Stanley had told him to let her relax–watching a variety show and spending time outdoor court as that
Two days later, Bennett notified Stanley and Quinlyn to claim their rewards scxcley got up especially early to pack up Quinlyn from the Wilson residence
As Joseph headed out to work, he saw Stanley dressed in a flashy wait–clearly borrowed from Larry–with his hair shocked back like a peacock, standing in the garden.
“Hi” Stanley waved flamboyantly, striking a pose. “Is my incredibly handsome look making you feel inferio?
Joseph, carrying his briefcase, decided he wasn’t in a hurry anymore. Leaning against the door frame he replied. I heard you’re going to receive a reward
“Yeah, heading to the police station. Where else would you find such a brave and clever young guy like me Stanley soused his head confidently, his hair brimming with it
“That’s nice,” Joseph said with a half–mile “Good luck with it.”
Stanley hated that look on his face, so he sneered in response. “Go ahead, wear your office worker suit to work or else you get outshined by me and end up getting laughed at by Quinlyn”
Speak of the devil, Quinlyn appeared, stepping out with her small backpack and a bottle of milk in her hand “Stanley. Joseph, good morning”
“Morning” Joseph said, gently patting her head, his smile warm as a spring breeze ‘Quinlyn, who do you think is more handsome, me or Stanley?”
Oh wow, still competing? Stanley got excited casually picking a flower and holding it up to his nose to pose “Quinlyn, just be honest. If someone gets mad, come with me, I’ll take care of you.”
In your dreams Joseph glanced at him sideways.
Quinlyn didn’t understand why they were so competitive early in the morning. Most kids would play it safe and say both were handsome, but Quinlyn just told the truth. As she sipped her milk, she observed them closely. A minute later, she pointed at Stanley
Stanley’s face beamed with joy, his grin stretching wide, feeling like the whole world was wonderful.
Then, in her sweet little voice, she added. “Stanley, you can’t beat Joseph.”
Stanley froze, feeling like his world just crumbled like that
Joseph couldn’t help but burst out laughing. After earning a side–eye from Zaid, who had just stepped out his Laughter. Before leaving Joseph pinched Quinlyn’s check. Ill bring you something delicious when I come back tonight.”
quickly stifled
Then, stepping over Stanley’s shattered world, he quickly left. Recently, Stanley had been traveling out of town frequently to check on various projects. Each time he visited a new place, he brought back souvenirs for Quinlyn.
Stanley looked up to see Quinlyn’s eyes shining with excitement–she was practically drooling. Instantly, he got angry.

obvious you chose him because of food. It’s not fair.”
Quinlyn turned her gaze away, giving him an innocent expression. She was just being practical and enjoying good food- she hadn’t done anything wrong, had she?
Later, Stanley stormed off to the police station with her, hoping to console his wounded pride with a big prize. However, when he received the award pennant, he was dumbfounded. This is the prize?” He looked at the item and then back at
Bennett.
Bennett mumbled embarrassedly as he turned his gaze away, “The case isn’t solved yet, and I’ve already spent my whole salary this month. I paid for the pennant myself. You don’t really need a reward, do you?”
Stanley didn’t really need it, but he still grumbled, “Then why do I just get a flag while she gets snacks and stationery? He pointed at the big gift pack in Quinlyn’s arms.
Bennett shot him a disdainful look, no longer feeling embarrassed. “Come on, Stanley. Are you seriously taking stuff meant for a kid?”
Is that really the main point here?‘ Stanley was losing his patience.
