Chapter 120
The bamboo grove was very quiet. Apart from the rustling of the wind through the leaves, everything was clear and audible
Cecilia’s face changed instantly. “Who’s there? Come out she shouted sharply.
A few moments later, a small figure stepped out from behind a dense cluster of bamboo.
“It’s you?” Cecilia recognized Quinlyn, who had made the Dragon Wall that morning and embarrassed her. She frowned in disgust. “I suggest you stay out of this. Try to interfere, and I’ll blast you on social media–even a rich girl like you can get totally canceled.”
“Oh, really?” Quinlyn looked up at her with a calm demeanor. “Then if I share this video, your life will become quite eventful too.”
She pulled out her phone and showed the screen, which contained the entire conversation from when Cecilia appeared to when she threatened Raymond.
“You’ve been secretly filming me all along!” Cecilia exclaimed in shock.
“Just in case, Quinlyn said as she put her phone away slowly. Then she glanced at Raymond. “Add me. I’ll send you the video.
Raymond didn’t expect things to unfold this way. By the time he realized what was happening, the video was already in his hands.
“Do whatever you want. I’m going back to sleep, Quinlyn said as she turned away without hesitation. She quickly vanished into the bamboo grove, as if she had never been there at all.
A breeze swept through the treetops. Raymond looked at his phone, then back at Cecilia, who stared at him with wide eye For a moment, neither of them found any words to say.
When Mandy woke up, she noticed that Quinlyn was still sleeping. Feeling playful, she tried to tickle Quinlyn’s nose. But just as she reached halfway, Quinton caught her hand.
He shook his head at her, signaling her not to be naughty. He had just seen Quinlyn return from the bamboo grove and she had only been asleep for a short while.
With her initial plan foiled, Mandy ran back to Raymond. “Mr. Flynn, I still want to be on your team this afternoon.”
“Okay,” Raymond replied somewhat distractedly. He couldn’t help but glance at the luxurious sun umbrella nearby. Quinlyn hadn’t woken up yet, and he couldn’t figure out why she had given him the video.
With no other option, he decided to confess everything to his manager before filming started.
“I knew these young girls thoughts were restless.” The manager fumed, immediately contacting the director to demand a replacement, threatening to cancel the recording otherwise.
After hanging up, he looked at the naive Raymond with a sigh and said, “I know you’re focused on acting and don’t deal with these things often. But you’re not that young anymore, and you need to understand that these days, even guys can face real dangers out there.
“So be more careful next time. If it weren’t for Quinlyn today, you would have been in big trouble. Alright. I’ll prepare some gifts later. But for now, you’d better stay out of the spotlight. Go and thank her in person.”
Raymond knew he lacked social experience. After being candidly advised, he nodded. “Alright”

In the afternoon, while the kids continued playing in groups, the comments were buzzing with questions about where Cecilia and Raymond had gone

con–site staff knew that Cecilia had already been fired, and Raymond was now in front of Quinlyn, holding a box of
“Is it okay if I sit here?” Raymond bent down and asked politely.
Quinlyn glanced at him and nodded, shifting over on the spacious lounge chair. It was wide enough for both of them to sit side by side comfortably.
“Thanks for earlier today, and here, this is for you,” Raymond said and handed her the gift directly.
Quinlyn wasn’t surprised until she opened the gift box and discovered a diamond necklace with emeralds glimmering inside. In the center of the box, in large gold letters, it said “my love, clearly meant for someone special.
Quinlyn fell silent.
Raymond noticed the letters and smiled awkwardly. “Sorry, this is all I have. You can take it home and give it to your mom.”
“This is too expensive.” Quinlyn shook her head and pushed the box back. In the borderlands, she had seen emeralds before. and this quality was priceless.
Raymond was taken aback. “I thought kids from wealthy families didn’t worry about prices. But I can always earn more money. Just keep the gift.”
Seeing his calm demeanor, as if money meant nothing. Quinlyn didn’t refuse. She thought maybe she could help him out next time to even things up.
For some reason, Raymond started to feel very comfortable sitting there and didn’t want to leave, so he began chatting with Quinlyn about random things.
“Why don’t you join the group? I think you have a natural presence and a unique vibe,” he asked.
Quinlyn replied, “Don’t want to be on camera.”
“What a pity. By the way, why did you help me back then?”
“Hmm, because Mandy likes you and doesn’t want you to be eliminated.”
“Then why did you ask me to take Cecilia’s pictures?”
“She said she’d threaten to strip. Then you could take pictures to have something on her.”

Raymond became even more intrigued. He found Quinlyn truly fascinating and full of surprises, and was about to ask more questions.
“Don’t you have a show to attend?” Quinlyn cut him off. She was not a walking encyclopedia, and she had no obligation to answer his questions.
Sadly, despite Raymond’s good looks, he couldn’t take a hint. “It’s fine. No one would dare to call me out. I’m not really into kids anyway. Besides, someone really great is coming later, and she can play with Mandy.”
A few minutes later, Quinlyn met the person who was supposedly great.
“Sorry, director, I was late because I had to bring my child with me. Good afternoon, everyone.” Yolanda wore a light yellow chiffon dress, with a flower crown adorning her head. She gracefully walked on the grass, like a beautiful painting come to

life.
Raymond waved at her and then said to Quinlyn. “She’s here. Let me introduce you to her. I’m sure you’ll like her.”
Quinlyn paused for a moment, looked at his expectant expression, and then shook her head. This guy isn’t just slow–he’s completely clueless.
“Raymond, are you getting used to it here? Have the kids already started to drive you crazy?” Yolanda spoke to Raymond in an affectionate tone as she approached casually.
“Though I can’t match your thoughtfulness and gentleness, I’m not too bad myself. I’ve made a friend,” Raymond replied with a big smile.
Quinlyn quickly concluded that the necklace in the box was originally intended for Yolanda. Now, she was even more upset These two were a couple–but something just felt off.
“Oh, I wanted introduce you to a child I met last week during charity work at an orphanage. She seemed really talented to me. Aren’t you still looking for a young actor for your new movie? I think she’s just right for the part
“Come on, Harriet. Don’t be afraid. This gentleman is a good person.” Yolanda said, holding Harriet’s hand and gently guiding her toward Raymond.
Raymond didn’t refuse and felt quite touched. “It’s so thoughtful of you to always think of me. Let me introduce you to this friend of mine, Quinlyn.”
Quinlyn peeked out from beside him and said calmly, “Hi”
That one word nearly made Harriet and Yolanda faint. Yolanda had never imagined she would meet Quinlyn again under such circumstances.
