At that moment, Mandy and Harriet were behind the easel. When the crowd was drawn by the commotion, they could only see paint–smeared Mandy and an upset Harriet exchanging accusations.
“Raymond!” Harriet called out as soon as she spotted him. She rushed into his arms, bursting into tears. “I was just walking by with some paint because I couldn’t find a canvas, and Mandy knocked it over”
Raymond was taken aback, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the close contact. He gently pulled her away and asked. “So why is the paint on her and not on you!”
Harriet froze, her tears almost stopping. She quickly glanced down, saying, “I tried to block it. I didn’t think it would end up like this. I’m sorry.”
Raymond wanted to ask her to recreate the pose. But before he could say anything, Yolanda rushed over, enveloping Harriet in a protective hug.
“Harriet, don’t worry. I’ve got you,” Yolanda said, casting a disapproving glance at Mandy. “I know Harriet is an orphan and might not have the same status as you. But you bullied her before at school. Now that she’s dropped out, can’t you just leave her alone?”
Mandy was speechless. Who was bullying whom at school, anyway?‘
But before she could respond, Yolanda landed another blow. “Isn’t Harriet’s shaved head proof enough?”
Mandy’s eyes widened. “How was I supposed to know she shaved her head? If her hairstyle’s bad, shouldn’t she blame the hairdresser?‘
Already annoyed with Yolanda for nearly ruining Quinlyn’s birthday party on the cruise, Mandy was now even angrier seeing the two of them conspiring together.
Plus, Mandy was no longer the quiet pushover she used to be. She pointed angrily at the two and yelled, “Shut up, you two
brats!
“Harriet was the one who spilled the paint and got my clothes dirty, and now you’re defending her? Everyone knows how much of a bully Harriet can be at school. You adults are so biased, always trying to help her bully me. No way!”
With that, Mandy lunged forward. Despite her small size, she had a lot of energy and swung her tiny fists at them.
Yolanda didn’t expect Mandy to actually fight. In her panic, she raised her hand and pushed Mandy to the ground.
At that moment, Quinlyn, who had been sitting under a beach umbrella, suddenly stood up.
She had noticed the ruckus but held back because Mandy had insisted on standing up for herself and not relying on Quinlyn all the time. However, that didn’t mean she’d let Mandy get hurt.
As Quinlyn approached, the kids remembered she was their leader. Since Mandy was Quinlyn’s friend, the support her. “You bully, how dare you pick on Mandy, they shouted,

In no time, Yolanda was surrounded by a crowd of kids. Amid the chaos, they pinched her arms and legs, causing enough pain for her to throw Harriet aside.
The production team and other actors were shocked by the scene. After a few seconds, they finally turned off the live broadcast and hurried to break up the fight.
It took a good five minutes to finally pull the kids apart. The staff were exhausted, panting and out of breath. Seeing more kids ready to jump in, they were just too tired to do anything about it.
Just then, Quinlyn stepped onto the set. She raised her hand to stop the kids from rushing in and helped Mandy to her feet.

“Are you hurt?” she asked with genuine concern.
Tm okay. But they blamed me for nothing. Mandy complained, pointing angrily at the two nearby, will y
Yolanda shot back, “If you didn’t do it, just say it. Why resort to hitting? Look at the mess you made, and you think yo the right?”
At that moment, both Yolanda and Harriet were covered in paint, their faces and hair a complete mess, looking sterly disheveled. Compared to their chaotic appearance, Mandy’s minor fall seemed trivial.
The production team wanted to calm things down, but a single glance from Quinly stopped them in their tracks. With her connections to Devin, they couldn’t afford to cross her.
Quinlyn shifted her focus and used a tissue to clean Mandy’s hands. “No worries. I’ll handle this. You go change your clothes
“Alright,” Mandy replied with a pout, then left the fray to sit under Quinlyn’s parasol.
In the next moment, two skilled assistants, accompanied by bodyguards and a servant–about ten people in total–arrived each carrying five or six outfits draped over their arms. They began laying them out for Mandy to choose from.
“Ms. James, these are the latest designs of the season. Ms. Yates said you can pick anything you like,” one assistant said, bowing respectfully.
Mandy couldn’t help but smile, her mood lifting instantly. She began selecting clothes leisurely, as if she were browsing in high–end boutique.
The whole spectacle left Yolanda astonished. ‘Isn’t the James family supposed to be supporting Quinlyn? Why does it seem like the roles have reversed? she wondered silently, with nobody around to explain.
Quinlyn approached them, her big eyes locking onto Harriet. “Who knocked over the paint?”
Harriet instinctively opened her mouth to answer but froze when her gaze met Quinlyn’s penetrating stare.
“Think carefully before you speak. You have only one chance, Quinlyn warned.
“Are you threatening her?” Yolanda shot back, grabbing Harrier’s hand. “Don’t worry, Harriet. I’ve got you, and I won’t let anyone bully you.”
These words gave Harriet a boost of confidence. She hesitated for a moment before saying. “It was Mandy.”
“Okay, Quinlyn responded, her tone calm and devoid of anger. She neatly wrapped the spilled paint palette in a napkin and set it aside on the table. Then she took out a small box and sprinkled black powder evenly over it.
Curious, Raymond leaned over and asked, “What’s this?”
“Black magnetic powder. It helps reveal hidden fingerprints, Quinlyn explained, carefully brushing away the excess powder
When Raymond looked down again, he noticed several black palm prints on the paint palette. “That’s amazing,” he said. Quinlyn did the same on the back of the palette. After ensuring there were no more fingerprints, she used her phone to scan and upload the pictures to a group chat for experts–something the anti–magnetic device experts had insisted she cr after their last collaboration.
Unlike the gaming team chat group, where chat messages piled up faster than anyone could read, the experts were typically deep in their research and rarely logged in. Quinlyn wasn’t sure anyone would even see her message.
But as soon as she sent the picture, notifications began chiming in instantly.
