Chapter 321
“You…” Larry opened his mouth to speak, but George ran back, washed his hands, and brought him a bowl of oatmeal.
Noticing his dirty sleeves, George rolled them up.
His wrists, scarred from years of imprisonment, were right before Larry’s eyes.
“Eat… Lilith made it… It’s sweet…” George said, feeding him with a spoon.
This time, Larry didn’t refuse. He opened his mouth, and after a few bites, he relaxed. His empty stomach finally felt satisfied. It was delicious and sweet.
“Okay, you can go now.” Larry thought he could get rid of George after he finished eating, but George stayed put, nestled among the flowers.

Two hours later, Antonio called George over for coffee and fruit. He wiped the sweat from George’s forehead and the dirt from his hands.
George happily took out his phone and reported to his sister. [Mission accomplished.]
“Well done, George. I will give you candy.” Antonio patted his head and handed him a handful of candy from the coffee table.
George took the candy happily, sat on the floor, and carefully counted it. Half was for him, and half was for his sister. Larry limped over and sat down. He glanced at the person on the ground and kicked a cushion toward him. As he looked up, he saw Antonio looking at him with a smile.
“Why are you staring at me like that? You agreed to let me have help.” Larry looked away, a little uncomfortable.
Edward had long since calmed down and even personally handed him a cup of coffee. However, he said slowly, “If one day George killed someone, what would you do?”
Larry instinctively frowned and blurted out, “He must have been trying to save someone.”
“You’re just trying to glorify his actions,” Antonio said.
I…” Larry was speechless when Jolie suddenly questioned him.
“Have some coffee to soothe your throat.” Antonio chuckled, finding his grandson’s naiveté rather endearing. “It’s good that you’re ambitious. Your hard work and dedication this past year are undeniable.”
“But those in high positions must remember to stay grounded. Believing you control everything is the beginning of your downfall. This applies to you and Joseph,” he continued.
“The thing is, they are smarter than you. They can always reflect on themselves by looking at Quinlyn, but you…you’re too arrogant and lack empathy. You should learn from Stanley,” he added.
“He tricked me, and I still have to learn from him?” Larry almost blew his top, but he knew that Antonio was right. He ro……y didn’t think much of Spencer, so despite condemning his actions entirely,
“As a businessman, one must know how to be kind to others. I’ve been thinking about having the staff at the mansion take some psychology lessons recently. You can talk to Dr. Perkins and invite him over to teach,” Antonio instructed.
Larry had no room for refusal and knew he was in the wrong, so he went to Manldon International School at noon and

asked Quinlyn to invite Spencer out for lunch.
Spencer was volunteering at the infirmary there, and even after school, there were often students who sought him out to
talk.
Larry, Quinlyn, and Mandy waited downstairs for a long time before they saw him coming down from afar, surrounded by a large group of students.
“Dr. Perkins is so popular. He just came to middle school this week, and the appointments are already full. I heard that he prevented three senior girls from committing suicide last month, and found that several senior boys were depressed and self–harming. He’s really amazing.
Mandy’s eyes sparkled with admiration, and she almost asked for his autograph. In fact, some students were vying for photos with him.
“Sorry to keep you waiting. Let’s eat in the cafeteria. I still have many students to counsel in the afternoon,” Spencer apologized as soon as he arrived, explaining that he was pressed for time.
Larry had originally wanted to invite him to eat at a restaurant with a Michelin star, but since he didn’t have time, he didn’t force the issue.
They moved to the cafeteria, where Spencer only ordered a few vegetarian dishes, costing a total of a few dollars.
“Mr. Hill, you can just say what you want. You are all Jolie’s friends, so there’s no need to be polite, Spencer said
Larry sat opposite her, staring at the dishes on her plate. He felt a little embarrassed for the first time. “My grandpa really likes your show and wants to invite you to give our family a few lessons.”
“Tutoring sessions?” Spencer was taken aback. “If it’s professional courses, it’s better to find a professional professor. My level is just scratching the surface.”
Her humility made Larry’s teeth ache. He felt even more ashamed of his previous prejudice. “We don’t have that much time. It’s mainly short–term training to understand criminal psychology and how to carry out our work.”
“I see.” Spencer finally understood. After a moment of contemplation, she said, “Then I’ll go over this weekend. I can’t get away from school on weekdays. I hope you understand.”
“No problem. We can talk about the price. I won’t let you lose out.” Larry nodded hurriedly, wanting to end this topic quickly.
But Spencer shook her head. “No need for money. It’s just a few lessons. I should be thanking you for not objecting to me and Jolie.”
‘Objecting? To your relationship? Why would we object? At most, we’d try to poach you,’ Larry thought his words were absurd.
Spencer put down her fork, carefully placing it in the middle of her plate. She said with a wry smile, “You’ve also noticed that I have OCD. I get uncomfortable when things aren’t in order. It’s a habit that most people find hard to bear.”
Spencer paused and turned to look at Quinlyn. “You’ve been staring at my face. Did you notice that my smile is fake.
Quinlyn was startled. She didn’t expect him to admit it.
Spencer said, “To be honest, the reason I majored in psychology is that I have emotional apathy. Since I was little, I’ve lacked emotional responses to external stimuli, and it’s still the same now.
“Even my smile is something I practiced in the mirror, so it looks a little fake.”
All this technical jargon went over Mandy’s head. “But everyone says you’re very kind, always smiling, and not fake at all,”

she said with a puzzled look. “Don’t you ever feel happy?”
Spencer looked at her, his smile unwavering. “No,” he admitted, nodding, “I don’t feel happy. It’s just my job

“It’s part of the job. But the only person who can truly make me happy is…
Jolie.”
“Yes.”
“Wow, that sounds so romantic!” Mandy’s eyes sparkled.
Quinlyn didn’t know much about emotional apathy, but she remembered the way Spencer had looked at Jolie back at the restaurant. It was different. That’s why she hadn’t voiced her doubts.
“If possible, I want to take her home to meet my parents this summer,” Spencer revealed his plan.
Mandy was naturally ecstatic, her face beaming with support.
Larry was thoroughly impressed. He had to admit, the guy who could swallow his pride for his girlfriend was a good man, even if they didn’t get along.
Quinlyn, on the other hand, didn’t express an opinion. After dinner, back in the classroom, she began looking up relevant information.
