Warren’s face went blank for a second. He hadn’t expected Quinlyn to be so straightforward
“So, can we fight now?” Quinlyn asked, completely serious.

Quinlyn’s eyes focused on him, and she was even more puzzled. “This isn’t the first time we’ve met. You can’t even remember who saved you and sided with Harriet against me. Isn’t that just silly?”
When Stanley joined Warren’s company, he invited her to join too, but she declined. With a boss like that, she thought the company wasn’t that great anyway.
Warren was completely bewildered this time. After a moment, he hesitated and asked, “Are you saying it was you who saved me that day?” Quinlyn nodded.
“But it was Harriet who was with me in the hospital…” Warren tried to argue, but halfway through, he suddenly realized something was off.
The kid he saw when he woke up in the hospital was indeed Harriet, but that didn’t necessarily mean she was the one in the lobby.
All this time, he’d always felt Harriet was too fragile, crying at the slightest thing–not at all like someone who could save a person amid gunfire. However, Quinlyn was different.

Quinlyn felt a bit disappointed when she heard there wouldn’t be any fighting. She grabbed her backpack straps and started walking out, saying over her shoulder, “I wasn’t bullying her. I was just giving her a taste of her own medicine.”
When someone was too kind, they risked being taken advantage of, and Quinlyn understood it better than anyone.

Warren watched her small figure disappear at the end of the alley. His smile faded, and his brow furrowed slightly: “Go check into the shooting at the Anderson family’s party that day. Also, look into Harriet’s behavior at school.”

Warren toyed with the ring on his finger, thinking that if he was being tricked, it would be quite a joke. Still, it didn’t really matter because he intended to make them return tenfold what they had taken.

Harriet hurt her foot and had her head shaved, so she stayed home for a week, too afraid to go out.
Meanwhile, the Anderson couple was too busy dealing with company finances to notice what had happened to her. As a result. Quinlyn had a rate, quiet week at school.
Aweek later, the selection officially ended. In the entire elementary school section, only Harriet and another sixth–grade student were selected.

Romilly opened her mouth and wanted to mention how smart kids could be, like Quinlyn in her class. But then she remembered that Quinlyn’s test scores were just average, so she held her tongue.
Felix wasn’t looking too happy and declared, “If the academics aren’t up to standard, then the physical fitness has to improve. This time, the elementary school section’s camping trip will be tougher. We’re aiming to select a couple of promising students. Understand?”
“Okay, Mr. Adams, a teacher replied.
The camping trip for the elementary school section was short but split into on–campus and off–campus parts. The first three days were spent on campus for some military–like training, which exhausted enough kids to keep the nurse’s office busy
In the past. the school would usually skip the off–campus training at this point. However, this year the school was determined, and on the fourth morning, they took the students by bus to the base of a mountain.
At the top was a temple bustling with worshipers, coming and going in droves.
Enoch Chapin, the trip instructor, declared. “Alright, your task is to climb to the top of the mountain and find ten pregnant ladies. Once you’re proved right, you can get a stamp and pass the challenge.
“You have four days, but remember: each person can only make three mistakes when asking the people in the temple.”

Felix and the faculty stood to the side, looking at the blazing sun and the hundreds of steps, their brows furrowed with concern. “Isn’t this challenge a bit too much?” Felix asked.
He thought. These pampered kids aren’t used to this kind of activity, let alone finding someone; even climbing up could be a challenge for them.
Austin Green, the psychology professor, looked arrogant. He scoffed and said with disdain, “If they can’t handle this kind of training, they don’t deserve to be called geniuses.
“Pregnant women are the easiest to spot in a crowd. With just a little observation and patience, it’s quite easy to do. If this were the detective squad at the police station, they would have already analyzed the passersby’s jobs and behaviors.”
“But these are kids, not police officers, Felix couldn’t help but complain in his mind, though outwardly he had to listen respectfully.
Digitalkey Group was sponsoring and managing the camping trip and since the college professors were part of the Group. they naturally had the upper hand in everything.
Once Enoch announced the start, the students began packing their backpacks and started climbing. Since they were all elementary school kids, they grouped together as if they were on a field trip, chatting and laughing, not feeling tired.
“Let’s take the cable car up Felix suggested to everyone. Each student had a camera and a monitoring watch, so they could watch their performance from the lounge on the mountain while sipping coffee.

Just then. Austin noticed a student standing still, not moving up. He immediately frowned and walked over briskly.
“Everyone else has already started. Why are you still lagging behind? Don’t you know how important the starting line is, or have you already given up!” he sneered, thinking these kids from rich families were inherently lazy
Quinlyn, wearing a small yellow hat and carrying her backpack, looked up when she heard the words Noticing the mid–fle aged man was part of the professors group, she explained, “Four days and find ten pregnant women–staying here will do No need to climb the mountain.”
