She had reviewed some project proposals that Hanley was responsible for, and each time they had satisfied her. Therefore, out of trust, she stopped reviewing the project proposals that Hanley had already examined.
But she didn’t expect Hanley to help his brother–in–law Adrian get into the company as deputy manager.
Jaida usually ignored such minor appointments.
But this small role cost her the collaboration with Lennon.
Jaida was angry.
Hanley stood still as papers fell from his face.“Ms. Moore, I was negligent. I was busy with the main project and didn’t focus on this one. I didn’t know you wanted to use it for Stark Group negotiations.”
“So you lowered standards and were careless?” Jaida didn’t accept his excuse.“You failed at your job and brought in an incompetent person. No excuse. Get out!*
Hanley said nothing, his hands clenched. A cold look appeared behind his glasses.
Then, there was a knock on the door.
Jaida said, “Come in.”
Jaida’s assistant, Darrell Singh, along with two security guards, pulled Adrian, who was kneeling, up to his feet.
Darrell looked at Hanley next to him.
Hanley said coldly, “I can walk myself.”
After speaking, Hanley turned and walked to the door.
The two security guards dragged Adrian out.
Adrian struggled and shouted, “Ms. Moore, please give me another chance! I won’t let
you down!”
Jaida pressed her lips together, her face dark and expressionless, ignoring him.
After Adrian was taken out, Jaida told Darrell coldly, “Notify everyone, we will have a meeting in the conference room in ten minutes. I will appoint a new project manager and deputy manager.”
“Understood, Ms. Moore.”
Under the new project manager’s supervision, the project department worked overtime for a week and produced a project proposal that satisfied Jaida.
Jaida took the new proposal to the Stark Group to find Lennon.
Since returning to the country, she had visited the Stark Group headquarters several times.
