In the car, Lennon and Mariela sat in the back seat.
His excitement was hard, to conceal as he said, “Marie, the day has finally come.”
Mariela had a shy smile, and a blush appeared on her face. “I was also looking forward to this day,” she said.
“I even wanted to skip the engagement step and marry you directly, making you my wife immediately.”
Mariela smiled and pursed her lips, “I was always yours, why are you in such a hurry?”
Lennon held her hand, gently rubbing his fingers back and forth in her palm.“I couldn’t wait even for a day, no, not even for a minute.
Speaking of this, Lennon smiled and said, “I was afraid that you would think getting married directly was too sudden, so I suggested to my father–in–law that we could get engaged first. It wouldn’t be too late to get married when our feelings were there. But now, looking back, I really dug a hole for myself.”
Mariela smiled and replied, “So, do you feel the emotions now?”
Lennon pinched her face, “This has to ask you, my feelings had arrived long ago.”
Mariela lowered her gaze and smiled lightly, teasing him, “Then wait a little longer.”
Lennon indulgently smiled and cooperatively interjected, “So, may I ask when you would be willing to become my wife?
“Let’s talk about it later,” Mariela playfully turned her head to look at him, making a funny face.“It depends on my mood.”
Along the way, the two of them chatted and the atmosphere was very lively.
Arriving at the estate, Lennon opened the car door and reached out his hand towards Mariela.
Mariela placed her hand on Lennon’s hand and got off the car, walking inside with him.
The estate was adorned with balloons and flowers everywhere, with thousands of fresh pink roses spread from the entrance gate all the way to the front of the main villa. Mariela stepped onto the petal–covered pathway in her high heels and walked slowly into the banquet hall of the main villa.
The carefully arranged banquet hall was filled with joy, and the melodious music flowed gently, with the lingering sound echoing in the air.
