Chapter 154
Manu
Lennon remained calm and composed, his mind racing quickly. “Marie, they have taken Angel hostage in order to lure you. You must not fall into their trap. I will immediately mobilize all the security guards in the mansion to the rooftop. You must stay calm, okay?”
Mariela was so scared that her hands were shaking, “1…”
Suddenly.
There was a burst of screams in the hall.
Mariela suddenly looked up.
On the screen, Angelica had an additional dagger on her neck.
A person wearing a hood held a knife against Angelica’s neck, “Mariela, I’ll give you five minutes. If you don’t come, then I’ll let your sister die in your place!”
Almost as soon as he finished saying this sentence, Lennon felt empty–handed.
Mariela took advantage of the moment when he was distracted, broke free, and ran away.
Lennon caught up, but was blocked by a man who appeared out of nowhere.
The man collided with Lennon head–on, spilling red wine all over him.
Lennon, too preoccupied, anxiously wanted to catch up.
The man, however, stood in front of him and repeatedly apologized, “I’m sorry, Mr. Stark, I didn’t mean to. Shall I take your clothes to the dry cleaner for you?”
“It’s nothing.” Lennon took

The man, however, took

Lennon was annoyed and angrily shouted, “Get out!”
and stepped aside.
Lennon chased to the elevator

The elevator had already reached the ninth floor.
He wouldn’t have time to take the elevator next to him even if he did it right now.
Suddenly, he abruptly turned his head and looked in the direction he had just come from.
Where was the figure of that unfamiliar man?
Lennon’s expression became serious.
That man just now did it on purpose!
At this moment.
In an unnoticed corner outside the side gate of the estate, there was an inconspicuous black Audi parked.
The man who just bumped into Lennon opened the driver’s door and sat inside.“Ms. Schneider, it has all been taken care of.” Lauryn leaned back on the back seat and closed her eyes to rest.“Let’s go.”
The man glanced at the back seat where Lauryn was sitting through the rearview mirror as he drove, “Are we not waiting for Ms. Ballard anymore?”
Lauryn sneered, “If we waited for that stupid woman, none of us would be able to leave today.”
Mariela left the elevator and headed straight to the rooftop.
Mariela opened the iron gate of the rooftop and walked out, and at once she saw Angelica.
Angelica was tied to a chair, with someone standing at the edge of the railing on the rooftop.
