Rayne looked at Lennon and said, “Have you eaten enough? Do you want to eat some more? I brought all your favorite food.” Lennon said, “No need, the food Marie made with her own hands was to my liking, and I ate it all.”
Rayne heard the words and smiled like an aunt, “Okay, since I have already eaten, I won’t eat anymore.”
Darryl had a sly expression on his face, “Oh? Marie cooked the meal herself?”
He put down the fruit basket and supplements in his hands, looked at Lennon and jokingly said, “You’re really lucky, kid.”
Lennon replied, “Yeah, the joy that single dogs can’t experience.”

Darryl’s smile froze on his lips. “Alright, tomorrow I’ll find a girlfriend too, and I’ll show affection in front of you every day, annoying you to death.”
Fiona’s eyes widened in surprise, “Marie, you can cook too?”
Mariela smiled lightly and said, “Just learned it.”
“Tsk tsk tsk, love is truly magical.”
Fiona circled around Mariela in disbelief.
“I still remember back in college, there was a time when I went to your apartment to hang out. You made fried eggs for me, and when I took a bite, they were crispy. You said that eggshells can provide calcium, and now, it’s surprising that you have even learned how to cook.”
Mariela awkwardly touched b
nose and said, “Eggshells could originally provide calcium.”
Fiona laughed in exasperation, “Alright, alright, giving my best friend eggs with shells and cooking a feast for my fiancée, is that what you want?”
Mariela smiled, “New
time I will cook a big meal for
you
too.”
Fiona grinned and said, “Well, then I really believed it.”
Darryl glanced at her and said, “Marie cooking is a romantic thing for couples, why are you trying to join in the fun?”
Fiona arrogantly lifted her chin and said, “You mind your own business.”
Several people laughed and the atmosphere became lively.
Rayne followed and laughed for a while, catching a glimpse of the thermos flask in Mariela’s hand.“Marie, are you going to clean it?” “Uh–huh,” Mariela responded.
“Take it to the caregiver,” Rayne said, as she glanced at the nurse beside her.
The caregiver hurried over to grab the thermos, “Ms. Logan, I’m coming right away.”
Mariela gave the thermos to the caregiver.
Rayne didn’t stay for long, she received a phone call and left in a hurry.
Mariela still had some work to do in the afternoon, so she spent some time with Lennon and then left.
She had just walked out of the hospital when she saw someone she didn’t want to see.
Jaime walked over and said, “Marie, finally I see you. Why haven’t you been home these past few days?”
The “home” he referred to was the apartment in Eclipse Apartments.
Currently, Jaime only knows that one address.
