Chapter 212
‘I knew it.‘
Lennon finished his work and returned to the villa.
Lennon reacted quickly and instinctively as he opened the light and suddenly a figure darted out, he immediately apprehended the person.
“Ouch, ouch, ouch! It’s me, brother! Lauryn shouted, raising her head with a painful expression.
Lennon frowned and let go of his hand, “How did you get in?
Lauryn rubbed her arm and said, “I had the nanny open the door for me.”
After rubbing her arms, she pointed in the direction of the restaurant and said, ‘Brother, haven’t you eaten yet? I made food for you.”
Lauryn used to be the nanny’s daughter and learned to took from a young age. After becoming the adopted daughter of the Stark family, she would sometimes personally cook to please Bella.
Lennon walked into the restaurant and on the table were placed two steaks, two glasses of red wine, and decorations of candles and roses.
A romantic candlelit dinner.
Lauryn’s thoughts were revealed.
Lennon’s face showed displeasure, “Why did you come to my door without saying hello? There is a cook at home, so there is no need for you to come and cook. Besides, I have already eaten, and also, don’t have any inappropriate thoughts about me.”
Lauryn’s face turned pale as soon as she heard these words. Her lips trembled, and tears welled up in her eyes. “Brother, I’m sorry. It was my of consideration. I just wanted to give you a surprise.”
She bit her lip and said with a sense of grievance, “Since my brother has already finished eating, I’ll tidy up these.”
Lauryn walked to the dining table and started tidying up.
Before Lennon came back, Lauryn was still fantasizing about the scene of the two of them sitting at the dining table, with flickering candlelight, the fragrance of roses, and a hint of intoxication from the red wine. Everything was so romantic! But now, all of this has gone down the drain, and she feels a bit resentful in her heart.
We had to do something while Mariela was sick and hospitalized.
Lauryn’s gaze fell on the red wine beside her.
Lennon had already gone to the living room and was not in the dining room at the moment.
Lauryn took out the pre–prepared medicine and put it into the red wine.
Living room.
Lennon took off his coat and casually draped it over the sofa.
He leaned against the sofa, his long legs slightly bent, tiredly rubbing his temples, and took out his phone to send a message to Mariela. Just got home, did Marie sleep?
There was no reply over there, and it was already 11 o’clock at night. She must have gone to sleep.
I felt a little disappointed in my heart.
At this moment, Lauryn walked gracefully with a glass of red wine and said, “Brother, would you like some red wine?”
