She posted pictures of these three dresses on her Instagram, with the caption “I’m suffering from indecisiveness, can you all help me choose the
best one?”
Just a few minutes later, she received many likes and comments.
Lennon:“They all look great. You can buy them all and wear them interchangeably.”
Caylee, her best friend since she was little, also liked and commented on it.
Caylee:“Wow, you have such great taste. All three of them suit you so well. Let Lennon buy them all, it’s not like he can’t afford it.”
Another good friend, Fiona, commented, “Buy them all! You look good in anything!”
Hailie:“Wow, what’s going on? Why are you picking a dress? Are you getting married?”
As Mariela continued to scroll down, among the likes and well–wishes from a crowd of relatives and friends, there were a few comments that particularly caught her eye.
Taryn:“…”
Mario:“Mariela, why did you post this?”
Efrain:“Mariela, are you out of your mind? It cracked me up.”
Colleague A:“These sets are all new collections from famous brands. Before about buying them; you can’t even afford to rent them.”
you show off, you should first find out the prices. Don’t even talk
Colleague B:“You are so wealthy; your life is my dream.”
Jaime;“?”
Seeing this, Mariela raised an eyebrow. It seemed that Jaime had sobered up.
She was just thinking when she received a message from Jaime.
“Delete your Instagram!”
Mariela:“I won’t.”
Jaime:“Are you forcing me to marry you? Didn’t you listen to what I said to you
before?”
Mariela:“Oh.”
Jaime:“Mariela, please stop now.”
Mariela ignored him.
‘She called Lennon.
The call was quickly connected, and Lennon’s voice was very gentle, “Marie, do “Yes,” Mariela said, “which one do you think is the best?”

of those three dresses?”
On the other side of the line, Lennon seemed to laugh and said in an indulgent voice, “Didn’t I say that if you like them, we’ll buy them all? I’ve had my assistant hold on to all three dresses.”
“Already? I just sent the text now.”
Lennon said, “I was afraid we got too late. These are all limited editions.”
“Well, thank you so much and sorry for the trouble, Lenny.”
“Marie, you are my fiancée now, and that makes us family, so there’s no trouble at all.”
What Lennon said was true, but Mariela still could not find herself taking on the role of his fiancée now. In her heart, Lennon was still the older boy next door who patiently helped her with her homework.
“By the way, Marie, you can’t taxi anywhere in LA anymore. I bought a car for you. I just completed the procedures. Give me an address, and I will have someone drive it to you.”
Upon hearing these words, Mariela felt
very
embarrassed.
