Chapter 373
Alan looked at the ride–hailing order on his phone and thought, “Why didn’t you say it earlier?”
The order had been placed, so he couldn’t cancel it and shamelessly ride in Frank’s car. He said, “In that case, thank you, Mr. Olson.”
Marie, however, refused. No need. I’ll just take a taxi myself.”
She opened her phone and prepared to call a taxi.
Frank half–jokingly asked, “Ms. Logan, don’t you trust me?”
Marie glanced quickly at Lennon, then met Frank’s gaze, and politely said, “Mr. Olson, you know I didn’t mean it that way.”
Frank smiled and said, “Ms. Logan, I can give you a ride. It’s on my way anyway.”

Alan stood by and listened to their conversation, his mouth twitching. He thought, “On his way? Mariela didn’t even mention which hotel she stayed at, so how did he know if it was on his way?
“Does Mr. Olson have a crush on Mariela? Is he just trying to take this opportunity to be attentive?”
Alan was curious. His eyes darted back and forth between Mariela and Frank.
Marie looked at Lennon, about to refuse, when he suddenly spoke up.“Then you take her back first. I have to go to Shayla’s. She’s been urging
me.”
Marie felt chilled to the bone.
Frank gave Lennon a meaningful look and said, “Then you should go quickly.”
Lennon nodded and didn’t look at Marie again as he turned and walked towards the black Maybach.
Marie gazed at his back in sadness.
Sure enough, she still couldn’t keep her heart calm.
She didn’t know Lennon’s true thoughts.
These days, she tried hard to forget him and not to think about him.
But he kept appearing in front of her, doing something that easily made her misunderstand. He invited her to have a meal and ordered dishes. that she loved, and his gaze would always linger on her. And then, right in front of her, he showed affection towards Shayla.
What did he consider her as?
A joke?
“Ms. Logan, let me…”
“No need!” Frank hadn’t finished speaking when Marie interrupted him sharply, her tone filled with anger.
Frank hesitated for a moment, awkwardly touched his nose, and said, “Alright, then you can take a taxi back by yourself.”
Frank wondered, “Wow, the little girl looks gentle, but she has quite a temper.
“Lennon, you have made your wife angry. Let’s see how you will please her.”
