“Hello,” Mariela greeted Elsa with a smile.
“Hello.” Elsa couldn’t hide her smile. “Bryce mentioned you to me.”
Mariela smiled lightly.
“You brat,” Elsa nudged Bryce with her arm. “You just said that Lawyer Logan is someone with exceptional professional skills, but you didn’t mention that she is a beauty.”
Bryce’s face flashed a hint of embarrassment, “Aunt Elsa…”
“Ms. Logan, do you have a boyfriend?” Elsa asked as if she was familiar with Mariela.
Mariela was stunned.
Elsa was born a socializer.
“Aunt Elsa!” Bryce quickly interrupted Elsa.
His ears turned red…
“Sorry, Ms. Logan, my aunt is a natural social, please don’t mind,” Bryce explained.
Mariela smiled and shook her head, “It’s nothing.”
Elsa glanced at Bryce and whispered, “I think this girl is perfect for you. It’s rare to see you going on a date with a girl. Come on, step up your game, buddy!”
Her voice, although deliberately lowered, Mariela still heard it as she was close by.
Mariela awkwardly averted her gaze, pretending not to hear it.
Bryce rubbed his temples in frustration and said, “Aunt Elsa, please stop worrying about me.”

thought you liked guys? We were both so worried but didn’t dare to ask you…”
Elsa hadn’t finished speaking when Bryce covered her mouth with his hand. “Your words are getting more and more outrageous.” Mariela couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
Elsa quickly interrupted, “Um, Ms. Logan, Bryce is into girls. I have something to attend to, just continue your meal.”
Mariela politely responded, “Okay, goodbye.”
“Goodbye, niece–in–law!” Elsa smiled with her eyes and eyebrows curved.
Mariela was speechless.
After Elsa left, Bryce apologized with a guilty face and said, “I’m sorry, Ms. Logan. My aunt just likes to talk nonsense. Please don’t take it to heart.”
“It’s alright,” Mariela smiled.“I didn’t expect you to be pressured into marriage. I thought someone as outstanding as you would already have a girlfriend or fiancée.”
Upon hearing this, Bryce gave Mariela a meaningful look, then quickly averted his gaze, “I’ve been waiting for someone.”
“What?” Mariela didn’t understand at first and instinctively asked, but quickly realized, “Oh, I see.”
“It’s getting late. I’ll walk you home,” Bryce stood up and picked up his coat.
“No need,” Mariela also stood up,“I drove.”
“You just drank alcohol,” Bryce kindly reminded.
“Oh, right,” Mariela said, “no need to bother, I’ll call a driver to pick me up.”
